"The staff here at Golden Rule Auto Care strive to always be friendly, punctual and we do offer many free services. At the same time, we do assess fees for our diagnostic services. The diagnostic fees are discussed with and agreed to by the customer prior to any work being performed. The diagnostic fee does represent an allotment of time to the technician. A charging system diagnosis will cost $39.99 and it tests the WHOLE charging system completely and thoroughly and comes with a guarantee. We guarantee the recommendations made by the technician will fix the issue. We find that preforming the diagnostic and guaranteeing the technician's finding and repair is the better option for the customer because it limits the customer exposure to unnecessary repairs and costs. We will always replace parts that the customer wants to have replaced but we can not promise that the repair will fix the issue unless our technician can verify through our comprehensive diagnostics. In other terms we would rather guarantee result as opposed to "throwing parts" at a system at the expense of our valued customer.
