First Step Chiropractic

Dr. James Fowler adjustments cause me to have two spiral guild leaks in my back and one spiral fluid leak in my neck causing me to have five blood patches and two brain surgeries in four days. I almost died but by the Grace of God, God saved my life. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

Dr. Fowler has been my chiropractor off and on for the last four years. What I really like is that he's young, his assistant guys are young and he uses more modern techniques as far as on the chiropractic stuff. The office environment is very open. He's probably one of the most community-active people. They do a lot of "lunch with a doc" every Tuesday. They either have a lunch or a dinner up at Kyoto's in Rowlett and it's all free and paid for. They give people health advice and different ways to take care of their bodies and it's more than just going in there and popping a joint back in. It's all about overall health and his staff is young and friendly. Every time I walk in the door, they're just so happy to see me. They tell me, "Happy Wednesday, Mike!" It is awesome. They're very punctual. They just went to a card reading system where everything is off a little card they give you, which is really great. They are not transferring everything to paper and they went paperless. But the one thing that has kept me going back is how active he is with the community and he does a lot of family stuff. It's just amazing how many kids they treat. He and his wife both run the practice and she is the one that tends to kids. They give suggestions on little kids get suggestions and does their overall health. He does all kinds of different fundraising about three to four times a year. His emails are awesome. He sends up pretty regular emails about overall health and different things and not always necessarily just about that. I really love the other guy that's part of his practice now. He's from Russia or somewhere over there. He doesn't speak really good English. He does English but he's got an accent but he's a good guy too. The main thing is just about being young and using more modern techniques.

I am still seeing Dr., Fowler. He is also working on my neck as I suffer from migraines. Dr. Fowler took digital X-Rays and worked up a treatment plan. He explained what the issues were and showed them to me on the X-Rays. I am 60 years old and you could see how the years of working at a computer screen with incorrect posture had taken a toll on my body.
I like that he will spend as much time with you as you need. If you have concerns and need to talk, he takes the time with you and really listens. If you just need a quick adjustment, he will get you in and out.
Midway into the treatment plan, he took X-Rays again. He explained the updated X-Rays and I could see the improvements.
Dr. Fowler likes to educate his patients on the value of a properly aligned spine. As an engineer, he makes a lot of sense. Just as a computer network will fail, if the communication is not correct, same holds true for your body, if the communication is not correct because of a misaligned spine.
To me, you can't go wrong going to First Step Chiropractic. I have sent my friend to Dr. Fowler and she too sings his praises.

His fees are reasonable, he is always prompt and courteous. He uses an electronic check in system, similar to swiping a credit card. It's very fast and efficient. He almost always sees us within a few minutes even though they are always busy. He has the timing down to a science. He listens to your issues, and gives you stretches, or other ideas that will help you maintain the problem between visits.
