We hired Borden Vinyl Pools to replace the liner in our very unusually designed 33,000 gal. pool. Surprisingly, Bruce Borden completed the entire replacement alone! Everything was done properly and efficiently. He also recommended someone to handle the refinishing of the deck. So pleased with the results of both!

Bruce was the fifth contractor we worked with on this pool project.   It is difficult to find people who have vinyl pool expertise outside of simply installing a liner. After working with a scam artist, a few no-shows who were in over their head, and contractors who wanted to convert to a full gunite pool (not an economically sound alternative), I thought I would never find someone with the right experience who was willing to take on our pool.  We were also afraid that the "work" done by the first contractor had irreparably damaged the pool and dramatically increased the cost to fix it.
After the pool had been drained for six months (from hiring of first contractor) and with spring rapidly approaching, I had become very discouraged about the prospects of finding someone reliable to finish the repairs without ripping me off.  I felt like every call I made was futile until I reached Bruce.  After speaking with he and his wife, I instantly felt better.  I was still a little apprehensive because the contractors I had hired before him also made themselves sound experienced and knowledgeable but somehow he sounded more honest and trustworthy and that turned out to be the case 100%.
Before I hired him, he shared with me before and after photos of his previous work which was reassuring because I thought my pool had been damaged beyond saving by previous contractors who did not know what they were doing.  He demonstrated that he could indeed restore pools that were in even worse condition than my own.  When choosing the liner, he brought a sample book to the house so we could see what the liner would actually look like.  All we had previously worked with only had paper brochures, or just directed us to look at a website.  It was much better to be able to see the print on vinyl as it would be in the pool than try to guess from a thumbnail photo in a pamphlet.  The icing on the cake was that I actually got a written contract from him - something that none of the previous contractors provided (red flag, should have insisted, I know better).
We had a few weather delays, but Bruce was punctual and kept us informed every step of the way.  He showed up when he said he would (rare quality in contractors) and kept me informed about progress and key milestones in the project.  After all the pool work was done, we had a place on the deck that was sticking up where we had removed the ladder, a definite toe-stubbing or tripping hazard.  I asked him what we could do about it and he came right back out, ground the place down and smoothed it over with concrete.
We are very happy with our pool now and very grateful for Bruce taking on the project after other contractors had abandoned us.  If you have a vinyl pool, Bruce is your guy.
