We contacted Teri to help us plan for aging in place. Her ideas were practical and well thought out. She gave us the information to make informed decisions about living in our house. She also demonstrated and listed criteria to consider if we chose to move to another home. This criteria included the many accommodations necessary for bathroom safety, flooring, lighting, and painting. She provided us with a comprehensive report. There were so many areas that would make our lives easier and safer. The cost for her evaluation was very reasonable.

Teri helped me prepare our new apartment for my husband's return home after several months of hospitalization and rehab. He was now using a wheelchair and not walking unless assisted. She began in the primary bathrooom by installing handrails in the shower at a level he could easily use to get in and out shower stall with little or no problem. There was also a shower chair present that he could immediately sit down after using the handrails to enter the shower. Also in the bathroom, Teri had a handrail installed on the side of the toilet area to allow him to get on and off the toilet with more ease. This really helped him a lot. She also had installed floor lighting under the bathroom cabinet to allow for night time visibility. This saved having to turn on the bright lights in the middle of the night. Throughout the apartment Teri had installed light switch plates that also served as nightlights. These light on the plates would come on when night time came and allowed you to see throughout the apartment without having to turn on a lot of extra lights. My husband really wanted to get outside and have some fresh air. Teri found a way to create a small ramp to go over the door threshhold that allow him to go out on the deck. This really meant a lot to him so that now he could sit outside and read and see the world. Teri was easy to work with and had very good ideas. She is able to foresee possible problems and works to solve them. I still call on her to help me when a new problem arises. Her help is greatly appreciated.

Terri, is really good at sizing up what needs to be done in your house from colors, kitchen bathrooms , bedrooms dens family rooms garage from updating, age in place and for ideas for future planning. I recommend her services !!! Very detailed and thorough.
