TruGreen Lawn Care - 5813

Really, they deserve ZERO STARS, this is the worst company! They skipped 3/4's of my yard (backyard) 5 times! They would send a specialist back but this last time the rep only did my front yard, again!! A manager was asked to call me and the only reason I got a call three days later is because I called and said I wanted my account canceled. The man was incredibly rude and told me I was not "allowed" to talk to him in my upset tone! Their customer service is lacking big time. He didn't care that he was losing a customer, he seemed to relish it, as he hung up on me!

We had a service contract with them. They were very professional and would call before hand and they sent an arborist to look at the trees.

I use their yearly service. My yard is green in the front and looks good. They keep my grass green, if I had a watering system in the back it would look as good as the front. The technicians are nice and call me before hand and knock on the door to tell me they are here.

Treated my bushes and also in the past a mosquito treatment. They checked my lawn irrigation system, too. I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

Terrible. We asked for Friday morning for 1st visit to aerate and fertilize. They sent 2 different crews. I showed the first one all the problems in our yard because I thought he was going to treat the brown patch as we asked. I asked him to ring the bell when he was done so that I can see what he did. he never rang the bell and he only did the fertilizer which we did not ask for. The second crew didn't show up until mid afternoon to aerate. The next visit they were also supposed to come on Friday. They showed up on a Thursday, and I just happened to show up at the time. He was sitting in my driveway eating lunch at about 3:00 pm. I asked why he was here that day, and he said he could come back tomorrow. I told him what was done the week before, and he called his boss to see if he could come on Friday I guess. He must have told the boss what I said, and the boss said that he couldn't treat for the brown patch for another week or 2 because of the fertilizer. If I hadn't shown up when I did, the grass would have been damaged by the brown patch treatment in conjunction with the fertilizer. Also, every time we called them we would get some call center in some other state, and could never be put in touch with someone local. Total fiasco. We canceled that day.

They did a great job. More expensive than other companies.

They've helped us with several problems on the property. As far as getting rid of chinch bugs, acid bugs; they kept the grass, trees and shrubs all just looking really good. As far as, fertilizing and spraying for pests and bugs that attack the plants. We could not do this on our own. We don't have the knowledge base that they have. They are punctual, very informative. Whenever my husband has a question, he can either catch the guy when he's working out in the yard or give them a call; they answer all of our questions. They just do a really good job.

I signed up for their service, they say they fertilized and applied weed preventative. I couldn't honestly tell you they did what they said, they did leave a bill though. Then I bought the aeration for $149.00, I saw the bill, paid it, then looked outside and said well it doesn't look like anything was done, no plugs. My neighbor said there is no way you could aerate a moist lawn and not get one single plug, so I started calling, over the next 30-40 days. Getting the run around they rescheduled the cancelled, I told them only on Mondays so my brother can watch them. Then the tech shows up and asks what I needed done, I said all the grass you see and he says "I remember that I only forgot to do the sides of the house". You can't make this stuff up. I told him to leave as he's a liar and thief he hangs up on me.  The number of calls and life wasted on the phone 10-15 calls, 8 hours, no exaggeration I was determined.  I was lied to by the tech, then lied to by the director of sales in, I think, Fort Worth (Brian), then lied to by the manager in Round Rock. My cancellation # 0702 1450 5415 25584. Then I get a call weeks later from sales asking me to come back, I say if you do it for free and pay me $500.00, he gets sideways with me a little and I tell him no chance, he hangs up. 

They are competitively priced. They are the only one that have done well. This is a great company! I have used them for years. They will done a one-time application or they have programs.

After 9 months of service with TruGreen, our lawn is in terrible shape.  At our last lawn service in early April, we met with the technician and pointed out concerning areas that appeared to be dead or not coming in well.  (We had been concerned on previous visits also and pointed out areas of concern.)  At this visit in April, we specifically expressed concern about possible grub worm damage (we had found several in the yard) and were told that treatment for that could not be done until June.  Now, in late May, we are continuing to lose turf and have large areas which are completely dead and may need to be re-sodded.  We now have extensive weeds in those areas as well.  We have contacted the company almost daily for the past week requesting someone to come look at and treat the yard.  While the customer service representatives have been polite on the phone, we have still not received phone calls back from a manger (as requested and as promised on multiple occasions by the customer service representative).  We are terribly disappointed in the quality of services received (especially for the cost), the lack of attention by our technician to our expressed concerns on previous visits, and the poor response by the company to our repeated phone calls for assistance.  We will not renew our contract with TruGreen and would not recommend their services to others.

I spend over $1000 with them for a years worth of service. I couldn't tell, my lawn looked worse after they came for a year than when they started. I cancelled and someone came out and they sent me a bill. I called them and told them that I was not going to pay them, that I had cancelled and they had not helped me at all. They told me at first they weren't going to cancel it, that it was $35 and I told them I would pay it and then report it to the Better Business Bureau and I got a phone call from someone else that was more even tempered who said, I am going to zero your account. I would never use them again.
