We did not purchase a freezer from them, but they were very helpful with giving us suggestions on brand names and what to look for. They told us which brands are more reliable. We told them what brand we had before and how old it was and they told us we were lucky because the brand we had normally breaks in a year. The brand they recommend has been great so far.

My tenant awoke to a warm refrigerator with ruined food.  I drove over to check out the refrigerator.  It had power and seemed to be blowing cool air very faintly...but was warm and the freezer had no ice.  Next I discovered the repairman I normally call no longer serves Round Rock.  So I logged into Angie's List to find a new repairman in my area.  Tri-City Appliances answered my first call and immediately began helping me.  They asked some diagnostic questions and then set up a repair call within a few hours.
The technican Rodney arrived early.  He was professional and friendly.  He quickly determined the refrigerator had been installed with a 'hard start kit' that would kick start the refrigerator daily.  This explained a clunking noise the refrigerator routinely made.  Unfortunately, the compressor was out.  Due to the old style of freon, replacing the compressor was cost prohibitive.
While Tri-City also sells appliances, I appreciated that the technican did not put a hard sell on me.  He let me know what a comparable refrigerator would cost in his shop.  We talked about what brands seemed to be most reliable.
Tri-City was very easy to deal with and highly responsive.  I will definitely recommend them to my friends.

They were awesome. They got the job done in about 45 minutes. The fan motor needed to be replaced. The repairman was very knowledgeable and the lady that answered the phone actually gave me some ideas on how to check the fan motor so I would not be charged a service call for them to come out.

These guys rock! Peggy answered my initial phone call on the first ring.  Took all of my relevant information, ordered the correct part, called me when the part arrived (which only took a day) and got me an appointment the next day. A very friendly and professional repair person (whose name I don't remember - SORRY!) showed up promptly at the scheduled time, made the necessary repairs in about 15 minutes, gave me some additional information about the functionality of the water filter mechanism, and charged me exactly what Peggy had quoted to me earlier.  I couldn't have asked for a smoother, more pleasant experience.

-ur water dispenser on our refrigerator door was not working.  When I called Tri City, the woman who answered the phone was very helpful and walked through a few troubleshooting ideas over the phone before even scheduling a technician to come out.  She had narrowed down the cause to 2 possible problems, which did require a scheduled technician visit.  The technician showed up as scheduled and was very courteous asking for a towel to put on the floor in case of any water spilling or leaking.  He replaced the water valve, got the water dispenser working and completed the job within 1/2 hour.
About a few days later or maybe a week after that was fixed, we noticed that the ice dispenser stopped working.  I called Tri-City to ask if it had anything to do with the valve that they recently replaced or it was a coincidence that another issue surfaced so quickly.  The man began asking a lot of questions to again troubleshoot over the phone.  He determined that it was not related to the valve that was just installed and told me what the new cause was.  He gave me detailed directions on how to fix it and then said to call back if that didn't work.  I followed his directions and it worked!  He was right and I didn't have to call again or spend additional money for a technician to come out.
I would definitely use their service again.

I was able to schedule the service call at short notice. The Serviceman was on time and fixed the range/oven.
Pricewise I did not shop around, but the repair fee we paid is quite less then the cost for the new range and it allowed us to keep the existing range for now.
While I hope our appliances will not break, if they do I would call the Tri-City repair for help.
Thank you, Tri-City

Our refrigerator decided to go out on a Saturday afternoon.  I called Tri City as they were listed as open till 4pm.  The woman who answered was friendly and helpful and very apologetic that they would not be able to come out until Monday.  She recommended getting dry ice to put in the fridge and freezer.  We did and it worked wonderfully to get us through until Monday.
The repairman was here before 7am and had installed the new board by 710am.  Unfortunately, while it made the unit start working, we discovered that the fan was no longer functioning.  He promised to order the fan and get back with me as soon as possible.
He was back on Wednesday and had us up and running completely in no time.  We were only charged for one service call, not two, and the total was just shy of $300 - far cheaper than replacing our refrigerator!
They were all wonderful to work with and we will definitley call them again when the next appliance decides to conk out.

My refrigerator was getting warm and they came the next day after I called them.  I was most impressed that they had the part with them and did the repair right away.

I really liked their service and response. When i called them about my microwave, they requested me to bring the microwave by myself rather than they come and pick up. That saved me some 50 bucks and the service was done very fast on the same day. The service charge was very reasonable too. I was overall very happy with the choice of this provider.
