"We understand that HVAC repairs are frustrating and often unexpected. From the time we arrive on site to the time we leave, we make sure to keep you informed in every part of the process. Parts found online are not an adequate pricing comparison. Our parts are purchased locally, housed on our trucks for customer convenience, and come with a warranty and installation by a NATE certified technician. We, as a company, do not charge for a service call or diagnosis. We come to your home, diagnose the problem, and use industry standard flat rate pricing to tell you exactly what the repair will cost before any work is performed. The customer always approves the repair pricing before any work is complete. The flat rate repair cost, approved before any work is completed, is the installed price- including part, labor, materials, and taxes. This price also covers the customer service rep who promptly answered you call and scheduled the tech to your home, the tech who came to your house, including his uniform, truck, gas, insurance, tools, and continuing education. We are always honored when someone chooses us in their time of need. Our goal is to make every customer comfortable in their own home through our excellent customer service and quality work. We are happy to discuss any concerns with a homeowner before, during, and after the work is completed. Please- Give us a call!"
Chris [last name removed] came out to check furnace, because furnace didn't seem to be running properly. He initially recommended we replace entire unit at $6500-$7000. Said circuit board needed to be replaced. We declined total replacement, heat/AC unit 15 years old. Chris got part from his truck, installed part, total time on site less than one hour. Cost 491.00.
We checked cost of part online and found part cost at 119.00 with shipping included. Charging 372.00 to cover service call and less than one hour of labor is highway robbery.
Called company, talked with Steve, zero customer service skills.
"The price for repairs is always quoted to the customer before any work is done using industry standard flat rate pricing. This price allows the homeowner to know exactly how much the repair will cost regardless of any extra time or equipment needed to perform quality work. Unfortunately, prices online are not automatically comparable of the warranty and quality of that offered by a quality service company. Our service techs are empowered to recommend the best course of action on each job. The recommendation to replace, is just that- a recommendation. We expect, and train, our technicians to diagnose and repair systems. They are not expected (or even encouraged!) to ‘sell’ a new system to a customer. The ball park price given is for a complete system (air conditioner, furnace, and coil) of our most basic systems. If the customer choses to explore the replacement option then an appointment is set with our Comfort Specialist to meet with the homeowners and educate them on the complete systems we offer. Depending on the original install quality, brand, usage, and maintenance of a unit- 15 years in central Texas is a long time! If the unit would have broken down again- the homeowner would be correct to point out that replacement wasn’t mentioned when the tech was there last time. It is up to each homeowner to weigh the pros and cons of repair vs. replacement, and we happy to help in any way we can. I am sorry you had a bad experience when speaking to Steve- he is getting old can be a little grouchy around lunch time. We truly do strive to provide the best customer service possible to help answer any and all customer questions. I hope you don’t need us soon- but if you do, know that we are here for you."
"Thank you [member name removed] for your glowing review. We know we have a gem in Chris and his commitment to quality work as well as customer service. I will make sure he knows of your kind words. We love to help our customers- in any way. Thank you again."
