I chose this vet after moving from North Austin to Round Rock based on the Yelp reviews and Angie's list reviews. My experience was completely opposite of the reviews I read. I will never go back here. The veterinarian never introduced himself and was very impersonal and rough with my dog. There was very little compassionate as well. When giving vaccines he just stuck her when he got her to be still. I've never heard my dog Yelp getting a vaccine until today. I asked to get her nails cut, which he did roughly and quickly. When I asked if it was hurting because she was whimpering, he said "probably a little". There was not vet tech so I had to pin my dog down during the vaccinations and nail cutting as well. I also gave him a copy of her vet records from my old vet which he never looked at. He told me to give them to the front desk who in turn told me to keep them because they have nowhere to put them. I asked multiple times for him to look at some growths she had. He finally did it briefly after the third time, but did not inspect them enough to make me feel comfortable there was no issue. In fact he never told me she was healthy or actually talked to me about my concerns. By the time I left my dog had gone from excited to be there to cowering from him. I felt awful for even taking her there and will never go back or recommend them to anyone.

They get "A's" on everything. They're wonderful. It was very reasonable.

(Please note; the approximate cost of about $250 that I selected above includes blood work and lab results that had to be sent out in addition to the surgery -- frankly, this is very affordable).
*** Incredible pricing and incredible service. ***
You can't get a better doctor than Dr. McLeod. Earlier this month our dog had to have surgery to remove a growth. Our only experience is directly with Dr. McLeod as we haven't been seen by any of the other doctors there. I can say for certain that Dr. McLeod's experience level and knowledge base is the best you will find and it comes at an affordable cost.
If you need to see a vet for your pets go see Dr. McLeod.
Also, Crystal the vet-tech / assistant was great too; very nice leading and showing us where the surgery was to be done and explaining everything will be fine. Subsequently, Crystal was very helpful over the phone with some questions that we had.
The surgery seems to have been a perfect success. Within a week the stitches were removed and our dog was back to normal. Now, a couple weeks later and she practically looks like she didn't even have surgery; it's healed up so well.
Dr. McLeod is a great doctor that really knows what he's doing and really cares. A+++++ based on this experience.

They had to express her anal glands and also trimmed her nails. It went well and they did a good job. This is probably our third visit with them.

They always do a great job. They are busy and yet there is not a long wait. The staff is very nice and the animals love going there.

I was extremely nervous because the procedure does usually require for the dog to be 'knocked out'. However, due to Mr. Pickles fragility, Dr. Jill decided it would be best to only slightly drug him so that the procedure would be practically risk free. It was a relief to have a vet so knowledgeable and in tune with my animal and also willing to go the extra mile to make sure my beloved dog stayed safe and healthy. I dropped off Mr. Pickles with Dr. Jill in the morning and she let me know she would do his procedure first so I wouldn't be worried all day. She even called me about half an hour later to tell me that she had an emergency procedure come in that she needed to do before Mr. Pickles but she would call me as soon as Mr. Pickles was out of surgery. She called about two hours later and let me know Mr. Pickles was fine and that I could come and pick him up in a few hours. When I picked him up she was very complete in her after-care instructions and description of exactly what she had done. She sent me home with a chart of Mr. Pickles mouth and which teeth had been pulled and also a copy of his bloodwork which she explained thoroughly.
Not only is Dr. Jill compassionate and a great vet, but the clinic is very economical. Another clinic had given me an estimate of over $1000 to do this work and would not have taken the extra precautions. I paid $250 for the procedure and the after-care meds. I've had animals my entire life and Dr. Jill is my favorite vet ever.

Dr. Jill is open to holistic treatment and she is very conservative in what the dogs need, the clinic is very friendly and affordable. I find that she is very open and honest at what the dogs really need.

The only complaints I have are these: currently, they don't keep records longer than a year, and it is up to you to schedule regular visits--there are no reminder cards for shots, etc. The other complaint is that they don't have very sophisticated equipment, so if you need special imaging, for example, you'll need to go to another vet for that.

I was really impressed with the professionalism and care of my pets. They didn't push for all kinds of extras and the vet came out and chatted with me as I was checking out. Great experience.

Fine, no frills, lots of helpers, liked the wooden bench my dogs could sit on to be near me.

McLeod Animal Clinic is a no frills country veterinary clinic. They are very reliable and give good care. The people there are very friendly and courteous. You usually don't have to wait to get in. Our veterinarian took a lot of time with our dog and did his very best to help him.
