During my first phone call to Just Ceaning, in mid-October, I talked with someone from the main office, in Austin. She was quite helpful and explained a deal where I could get 3 3-hour cleanings for a reduced price. She emailed a list of rooms and tasks and explained that I was to prioritize rooms/tasks and that was the order in which the work would be completed. When the 3 hours was over, the cleaning would cease, regardless of whether the list had been completed. With the exception of the first date, I was not given my future dates but was assured they would give me a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to their visit since I was required to give them 48 hours notice of a cancellation.
My first cleaning date was 10/19/2012. I was initially pleased since it appeared that the maid had completed the things on my list and more. As I began looking more carefully, however, I realized that many of the basics had not been completed. For example, the top of the chest of drawers in my bedroom had not been touched, nor was my headboard. Most of my dresser still had dust on it as well. I decided to fulfill my 3 month commitment but that I would not continue service afterwards.
I wasn't informed of my second cleaning date until the maid was en route to my house. Since I was at work, I did not get the voice mail until several hours later. Because I had not been given the notice they promised, the house had not been picked up and my dog was not contained - that being the case, I knew the cleaning would be sub-par and even worse than the prior visit. I called back as soon as I got their message and had to leave a voice mail for Just Cleaning. I told them to get the maid out of my house immediately since I had not been given the appropriate notification and that any money I spent on cleaning would be wasted since much of the 3 hours would have to be spent simply straightening things. I demanded they call me immediately to discuss and told them that I should not have to pay for any work done since they had not fulfilled their notification commitment. I did not receive a call back and I was charged. I was extremely unhappy.
A maid appeared at my door this morning for cleaning #3. Thankfully I was home this time. I turned her away and made her return my key on the spot. I then called and, once again, had to leave a voice mail. I told them I had refused service and that I would not pay for the visit, nor would I allow them to complete the 3rd cleaning. I did get a return call this time - simply to confirm I wanted to cancel all future service. No apologies, no explanations...not even an attempt at an excuse. My only regret is that I imagine the company did not pay the maid for her time since she did not clean. A reputable company would "make things right" with their employee, but based on my experience with them I highly doubt that to be the case here.
I highly discourage anyone from using this service. Again, my experience was with the North Richland Hills office so I cannot comment on whether all of their offices are as inept as this office.
The quality of services they provide are minimal at best I do not believe they are using any disinfected when cleaning the bathrooms as there was abosutly no scent of any cleaner (used to have a scent when they cleaned). I suspect they skipped over much of the services because my home appeared clean. If your considering a cleaning service then you should just avoid Just Cleaning. The quality is poor, there is no consistency with cleaners, there is a complete abensce of any Quality Control.
I don't consider their premium cost of $68 hr for sub par cleaning a good value.
My preferred cleaner has not been here for the last 3 cleaning visits and the quality is just not the same. I contacted customer service on a couple of incidents and did not receive a response. The most recent incident involved an issue with the alarm while I was out of the country and the Police responded to several false alarms in one day and left me a note regarding a possible $1000 false alarm fine. To be fair, the company did try to contact me and left a message when the cleaner had a problem with the code. I called to discuss the situation with customer service when I returned to understand better exactly who the cleaners were and what issue they had and I was told that the computers were down and they would have to call me back. That was 3 weeks ago.
Today, one of the cleaners accidentally broke a small inexpensive bud vase and contacted me to offer to pay. It was of no value and I told them not to worry about it. However; when I came home, large and small fragments of the glass littered the counter top so some of the larger pieces may have been picked up but it was evident that much of the glass was left behind. We have instructions in our file that is to be shared with each cleaner about handling of pets, etc. as well and in addition to the glass, the door to the laundry area where the litter box is located was shut when the instructions specifically ask for it not to be. Several other minor things including several bed pillows being left on chairs instead of the bed as well as the sofa and love seat not being vacuumed just added up to enough for me to decide to terminate this company.I feel as if I tried very hard to work with this company and I believe that I have been very patient working with different cleaners to explain where things were; etc.
I contacted customer service today and asked to terminate my service. The representative asked for the service address and told me that my key would be returned within a week. At no point did she ask about why I was terminating.
1. Clean my kitchen2. Clean the hardwood... our baby is always on the floor playing, and we like to use our own cleaning products.
One time they put up dirty dishes that were in the dishwasher and threw in ones that were in the sink. I litterally mean threw. Cups and glasses were laying on their side, and bowls were stacked on top of each other. They can't get clean when there is another bowl inside of it! They also broke one of my glasses. I called and spoke to customer service, and they assured me it wouldn't happen again.
I never put on the list to have them clean my hardwood floors. A handful of times they did it anyway. They use a solution of Minwax Oil and water, which makes them very slippery. I fell while holding my 2 month old son. Luckily we were okay. The last time they came, they had either cleaned them again or spilled something on them to make them very slippery. My son slipped and hit his head on the floor. I also fell and hurt my foot. I responded to the comment email they send out each time your house is cleaned. No one called back. I had to call them so I could discuss this with them.
We decided to cancel our service, and they told me they would bring our key by the house. They ended up MAILING IT!!! Why in the world would you mail a key to the house it belongs to?
What cleaning they did was good. Flor and Aricely are wonderful and really nice. However, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, especially if you only want them to do certain things.
Obviously this was frustrating, but since they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee we called to have them come out and at least clean the shower. My wife called and told them it was time sensitive as the new owner was coming by to inspect it in the afternoon the next day. They said they would check their schedule and call back. They never did call back. We ended up having to go back and clean the shower and counter tops ourselves and it made a world of difference. It was very clear that they did not put any effort into cleaning the shower. At that point their call back was unnecessary, but the fact that it's now been over a week and no one ever called back shows exactly what their 100% satisfaction guarantee is worth.
