DO NOT CALL THIS CONTRACTOR.  I don't know where to start.  He asked for 1/2 down.  then claimed he needed almost the full remaining amount  after the frame was up...knowing full at that point it  would be impossible for me to find someone to complete his work  After he got that money he CLEARLY could care less about the product.  When he suggested I add to the already steep price a wood plank ceiling he never did tell me up front the cost.  Turns out A LOT. Then it was just slapped up there in a matter of a couple hours.  Not sanded, dirty, barely one coat of finish, no attention to detail on this job AT ALL.  where the wood meets the brick are big gaps all over, nail holes, wood lined up crooked., no trim. minimal caulking.  He has no consistent people working for him...I just know they are grossly underpaid and must need the work at the time...so he pockets most of the profit.  I can only pray it is structurally sound because aesthetic wise it needs alot of work. .  When I pointed out problems he looked at me like he was confused and he knew d*** well what was wrong. Roof line stops in the middle of a window!!! whats up with that?
He took forever to clean up the mess left behind. The real kicker is that he had to take the main beam down because THANK GOD the city inspector said it was too small and wouldn't support the roof, however I am worried about how it was replaced. You would think this would be something he should know...again.. Just another example of cutting corners.  I am going to have to fork over more money to fix the deficiencies. I was taken advantage of and am embarrassed I didn't do more to deal with his shabby business tactics. He literally wore me down nagging him.

Horrible. Crystal Sunrooms does not do any of its own work except for the windows. Because they rely on subcontractors, the project took 6 months to complete. We could have built an entire new home in that time period. Steve could not provide accurate time estimates as to when things would happen and when the project got so far behind, he screened our calls and didn't return them. We had to try and micro-manage him to get the job done and we are still lacking a screen to one of the windows and it has been nearly 2 months since the project was completed. Now that he has his money, he doesn't bother to return phone calls.

Steve presented himself well when I first made contact and until paperwork was signed. Since then, there has been considerable foot-dragging. I feel like we stepped into a contractor who was in a financial bind, and saw us as a source of quick cash. It has been over 6 months and the job is still not done, the original time estimate was three months. We are not even seeing one sub per week, and there was a 5 week gap in work in July/August that was never explained to us. Steve has been condescending and has repeatedly treated us with disrespect. I can see no basis to recommend this man or his company to anyone for construction work.
