Chapman Custom Cabinets

First, I'd like to say we used Chapman for our kitchen cabinets in July 2012, and were very pleased with the service and the finished product.  However, while trying to just even get an estimate for our master bath in Feb. 2015 ( for 3 -4 cabinets), we could never  get them to work with us -- even though we were prior customers !
   Customer service was terrible.  On our first visit, we went directly to the cabinet shop in Round Rock.  You could tell they were super busy, (men inside making cabinets), and  Mark said he was "filling in"  for the owner, who was out of town .  However, he told me to email him with my dimensions, and what I wanted,  and I believe he wrote our name down.   He said after he got my email, he would email me with an estimate.  He said it would be several months  to get them made.
   We never heard from him, and after about  10 days, I called him.  And called again... left several messages.  I finally got through, and it turns out that I sent email to the wrong "main" email, and should have sent to his personal "work" email, which he had not e until then  never gave me.  (Owner , still out of town).
He had already told us they were "swamped " with orders because everyone was doing renovations, and that it would take several weeks to just get our order "into the system".  We were willing to wait,  but Chapman never did email us , or call us back.
,    We had to "give up."  We wanted to use them again  and "order local", but I guess the job  was "too small".   (It was a $2800 job , approx.)

I called to get an estimate for his/her vanities in master bath, vanity for upstairs bathroom, and a wall/entertainment unit for master bedroom. The appointment was set for July 10 @ 9 am. At approximately 10 am, I received a phone call from the gentleman that was supposed to come and do the estimate. He told me something came up and he couldn't make it. I went ahead and rescheduled and he did show up on time. We went through everything I wanted to have done and he said he would have an estimate back to me by the following week. It is now a month later and I have not heard a word from the company! If they didn't want the job or were too busy to get it done, say so! Don't waste someone's time if you never plan to do the job!

Although I am not sure of the exact date of the job date, what occurred was the resurfacing panels have become unglued and are curling. We tried several years ago to get them to come out but just gave up finally. Now, the parts they used to hold in the dishwasher have failed, and we called four times until someone finally came out, and we were told they no longer use this product because they have and quot;something betterand quot; but there would be someone else out to try and repair the curling wood. That was five days ago. It seems to us that if they used a less than optimal product in our kitchen, they would want to rectify this, but that is not the case. By the way, they chipped our floor tile. Several projects at our house did not go as planned, but we never worked with a company or individual who was not willing to make things right. I would not recommend this company

They did mock ups for those when I did the original work but I opted to stay in the neighborhood of my budget and blew it on the initial work I had them do.
They are not going to be your cheapest option in all likelihood but the quality of their work is superior. We went to their showroom to see samples and look at different finishes and we were impressed, which is why we ended up going with them. They were very professional and even worked with us on design ideas and price. Their work was first class and I wouldn't hesitate to use them in a very expensive home or any other situation unless you're looking to use prefabricated cabinets to save money.

I spent about $8,000. I will use this company in the future.

Very well. The overall cabinet quality is exceptional. There were a few minor issue along the way that were promptly corrected. They were able to match the finish on existing cabinets for cabinets they were repairing.
