We were first connected with AR-Tex through our home warranty (American Home Shield) when we had a brand-new HVAC system installed... a job that cost us nearly $8,000. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of our problems. Within a year, we had to call them out multiple times because the system wasn?t working properly. Getting in touch with them is incredibly frustrating. They rarely return calls, you?ll often be sent straight to voicemail, and the receptionist makes you feel like you?re inconveniencing her just by asking for help. There?s no urgency, no empathy, she has zero customer service skills. After getting nowhere with them, we finally called a different HVAC company and the difference was night and day.They immediately recognized multiple issues with the original installation by AR-Tex and explained how poorly and lazily the job had been done. It?s unacceptable to treat customers this way, especially in the Texas summer

This company was chosen through our home warranty. The technician was knowledgeable and transparent. However, the female receptionist has absolutely no customer service skills. She?s annoyed when she answers (if she answers)the phone, is hesitant to provide updates and acts like you are inconveniencing her to do her job. We have a broken AC in heat index values in the 100s with a sick child at home. So we continued to follow up daily. I called home warranty to complain bc it was authorized to be repaired on a Wednesday but we didn?t know that until we called on Friday am. They won?t get the part until Tuesday but we were able to find the part on Friday. We asked home warranty to never refer us to them again. It?s hard to understand a person not have compassion for a broken AC in south Texas.

Worst Company I have ever dealt with. They don?t care how many days you are without AC they have been out 3 times in 3 weeks and my AC is not working and I?m not able to contact . I keep filling claims but it?s the same original complaint and claim that was not resolved. The are very hard to get a hold of and don?t give a shit after you get a hold of them

Rherd was contracted through home warranty company to repair the system. They got the heat working but it is stuck on heat. We turned the AC on on our way out the door for work and school. My daughter came home to her dog almost dead and the house 110 degrees. My dog had to go the emergency vets office for heat exhaustion which cost $440. The company refuses to fix their mistake and do the job properly until the warranty company sends them a new claim so they can get paid again. As a director with an auto repair company I know this is shady and unprofessional. A reputable company would fix their mistake even if it means taking a loss to do so. Your customers should never suffer for your incompetence and greed.

i had Troy from AR-TEX AC and heating come out and check my AC unit out. he was here for less than a hour and was able to identify the problem and fix my issue. after the work was completed had a really good conversation about his military service. i always know\w i will get good service with a veteran. thanks Troy

Held hostage. Working with this company is a nightmare. Communication is poor and scheduling is challenging; my appointment was once delayed by a week because I missed one of their calls. Their scheduler claims to leave voicemails, but I never receive them. Details frequently get lost between teams, causing project delays, and each new employee seems unfamiliar with the scope of work, requiring repeated explanations. A clear outline of their process and a company website would greatly enhance customer confidence. Despite these issues, they eventually completed the job. Jack was knowledgeable and accommodating to my unique situation when others were not. However, another installer later criticized the work, suggesting the ductwork and return were sized incorrectly and wanted to redo it, raising concerns about their workmanship. Overall, I wasn't pleased with the company's response to our work. I felt like a burden and was caught up in their office politics. One of their employees, Jack, stopped working there sometime during our project. This was confirmed by the owner. The employee said he's on leave. I'm not sure what to believe. It took raising my voice to receive a proper response, and we witnessed multiple employees argue with their boss, indicating a management problem that starts at the top. Additionally, the company has no physical address listed, and other customers noted that Google shows them at a UPS store. I couldn't find any address online. They lack a sense of urgency and empathy. Invoices are not sent automatically, and receipts are only provided upon request. As someone who works in the permitting world, do yourself a favor and get your AC install work permitted. It's worth the price to have work done legally and to the industry standard with an independent inspector, a public servant, inspecting your trade person's work. Save yourself some time and money w/ this company and go with a reputable HVAC company like Strand Brothers or Smart Air that will stand proudly behind their work.

Was hired via Home Warranty service. Came Monday morning at 9am. Tech showed me pictures of the issue and advised it was typical due to age and wear. (The control board on the inside blower was bad). He advised he would file the case ASAP, and it should be only a few days for repair. After calling for 3 days, they finally got the ticket to the warranty company at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, knowing the next day was the 4th of July and everything was closed. They changed the story to say that the issue was due to a power surge and advised me they could fix it directly. They did this to avoid making a home warranty claim. This is the second time this company has tried to find a way to make a warranty claim invalid. Do not use this company. Also, if you google this company, the office is a UPS store. Do not trust this company.

This company was hired by American Home Warranty to fix my A/C. They did set up an appointment. They did find the first issue and repaired it. After replacing the blower fan, they found out the zone control board was bad, which isn't covered under my extended home warranty. But, I told them to contact Lenox because I have a 10 yr extended warranty on parts. That was on the Thursday before Memorial day. Since then they won't return my text messages or phone messages. This comp[any is not someone I would trust to work on or follow up on their work. They have no sense of urgency and no empathy for the customer with no A/C during heat advisories in Killeen TX.

They do not call back when you leave multiple messages, my house has been 80 and 90 degrees inside and they do not see that as a emergency. 7 days without air and they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU...just themselves.

This is the most unprofessional and rudest company I have ever dealt with. The technician they sent to my home used profanity and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. The day my repair was to take place they cancelled last minute. I talked to the owner and he was a jerk. Do not use this company.

We hired AR-TEX AC and Heating, June of 2022, to get my a/c working. After 4 unsuccessful trips out to our place, my neighbor and I took video of condenser fan failing to start and sent it to AR-TEX AC and heating. They were then able to get the a/c working by replacing the condenser fan and capacitor. One of the prior things they did was replaced my **thermostat**. This month, October 2022, when the temperature dropped, we tried to use the heater. It did not work because it was not wired correctly for heat. Called AR-TEX A/C and Heating and they refused to come back, say it has been more than 30 days since the repair **according to their policy, they are not responsible after 30 days** Even if they screwed it up. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO DO ANY WORK.

We hired AR-TX A/C and Heating to diagnose what was wrong with our system since the a/c was not turning on. After 2 separate visits trying to figure out what was wrong we were told it was the wiring and they will replace it for $550. We got a second opinion and found out the contactor was bad, so we replaced it for $18 and our a/c is working now. The wiring was fine. Do not hire this company! Either they do not know what they are doing or they were trying to rip us off.

The tech was uniformed and very professional. Oscar found the problem with my freezer and fixed it in a timely manner. I was so impressed, I purchased the gold service contract on the spot. I hope this is one contract I will not need but if I do I feel I am in good hands.

He showed up when requested, and worked quickly to repair the item. He had to get a part and came back with it in a day, unfortunately this did not fix the problem. The compressor turned out to be bad, and we found out that it still had one month of coverage under warranty, which he was not authorized to perform.

We would gladly recommend the service man who came, to our friends. He was prompt and efficient. He expected to finish the job the next day after acquiring the part needed (igniter), but when he was able, he came the same afternoon and made the installation.

Oscar called right away and told me what I could do to check why my dryer would not come on. He stated if it did not work then he would call me in the morning and come out to check it. Sure enough a man of his word he called and came out and had to order a timer and then installed it. He was very prompt and friendly. Thanks Broward for having an excellent employee named Ocsar.
