1431 - 183 A/C & Heating

Mike, the owner of this company is not very reliable or dependable guy. Got some work done from him. Two months goes by payments have been made on time. Have an issue call doesn’t call back for two days. Finally he calls back. Set up a time for him to come out to take a look at the AC because it’s not blowing cold again. Just purchased a brand new outside unit from him and it’s been working but now it’s not blowing cold. So the time that we set up is over a week out. Today is the day he supposed to be here at 10:30 in the morning. What do you know doesn’t show up. I sent a text and called him 30 minutes after the appointment to see how far out he is guess what no response. Finally at 1 PM, I get a call from Mike saying that he’s really sorry. Sorry he hasn’t reached out to us. Sorry he’s behind. Said he had another service call he had to go to in the morning that he got called about. I called him over a week ago when this thing started having issues and guess what I don’t get a service call. So he says that he’ll be at my house at 2 PM. I said OK well we left to go run a couple errands. I realize it’s 2 o’clock. I see him on my camera. I call him. I say hey I’ll be there in about 15 minutes we’re checking out at H-E-B. This guy gets p***** says are you kidding me and then hangs the phone up and leaves the house. I show up exactly 15 minutes later and he is gone so then I tried to call him. It’s going straight to voicemail. He has my number blocked so I use my wife’s phone and start calling him and it’s ringing all the way through, but he’s not answering so after calling him 3 to 4 times back to back he blocked my wife’s phone number. I left him a pretty good voicemail so I’m sure I won’t ever see this guy again but just wanted to warn everyone out there looking for services be prepared because this guy and company are TRASH!!!!

They are very responsive. Any problem they would call me. He is alone. It was an review, he did not find anything. It took him forty minutes. Perfect, it was clean.

ttinI have used Mike for several years now. He is exceptionally conscious of the quality of his work and providing excellent service and value. 
Mike replaced my HVAC controller with a zoned controller. In the process he told me the distribution system was not well done and he really felt it needed to be fixed. I agreed because we did not have consistent air flow in the house. After Mike had simply redone the ducting and distribution system, we had even heat for the first time ever!
The 3 zoned system he installed has worked flawlessly for several years now and I am very pleased with all of Mike's work.
I have recommended Mike to many neighbors and everyone has been very pleased with him. He is very personable and professional. He has never left me hanging or feeling like he has short cut the job.
I do not hesitate to engage Mike for any reason and highly recommend him! If you get his voice mail, leave a message and he DOES call you back shortly!

Mike McFadden is a lifesaver. My air conditioning stopped working at approximately 3:00 am on Friday, August 29. August 29th was predicted to be 100 degrees by 1:00pm.  I was worried. I looked at Angie's list, and saw his name and great references.  I discovered why Mike's references are great.
MY EMERGENCY
I called and left Mike McFadden a message at approximately 8:30 am. He called back almost immediately. I gave him the model number and the part information for my A/C (off of the label on the unit). He told me that he would check the rest of his messages, and call me back when he had a time of arrival. Mike called on the way, and was AT MY HOUSE less than an hour from when we originally spoke.
WORK COMPLETED
He arrived with the replacement part in his possession.  (My unit needed a capacitor.) Mike started work immediately, and had the A/C running in LESS than 1/2 an hour from his arrival. He, then, inspected for any other possible problems, and checked that the freon level was sufficient. At my request, Mike suggested a preventative maintenance schedule for the future.
MIKE's APPEARANCE & KNOWLEDGE
When Mike arrived he was clean, presentable and friendly. He is very personable, and he patiently and kindly answered all of my questions. He put me at ease with an identifiable uniform, labeled truck, and by giving me his card when he arrived. He was familiar with my neighborhood builder's choice of A/C unit type, and the challenges they presented. (My neighborhood is Cedar Park Town Center.)
PRICE
Not the least important part of the service, his price $100 LESS than the other three places that I checked out. He didn't try to sell me services I didn't need (and I am a senior). He provided a better quality part than came in my unit, for LESS than the price I would have paid for the lower-quality one, online. (My daughter checked.) He charged me no emergency fee, and my total bill came to only $140. Amazing.

With kids in the home, getting the a/c fixed quickly was important.  He started at 9 am and was done by 1 pm.  Temp in the house was kept at no more than 78 degrees during the brief time he had the system off.  Cleaned up after himself and left with everything in perfect order.

Mike McFadden, the owner replaced a blower motor that failed after 20 years. They replaced my AC unit a few years ago, but did not update the furnace in the attic at that time since is was working correctly.  I called Mike late in the afternoon, and he would have come out the same day if I asked. It was not an emergency so he came as promised the next day.
I checked the web to see what this should cost and Mike was under the estimates.
Mike is just a hard working, nice, honest guy.  I challenge other AC guys in the area be as competitive as Mike on price and customer service.

They responded quickly with an estimate that was well under many other companies. I was skeptical and checked them out as much as possible. I asked a lot of questions to make sure they were not trying to underbid by offering an incomplete service or use inferior material.  I told them what A/C unit manufacturer I wanted them to use and they were fine with that.  The job was completed on time, and at cost.  They were outstanding. 
I received rebates on the two units from my utility company and an energy credit on my taxes.  With the rebates and reduction in my electric bill, my payback period will only be a few years.
