HOLDEN DESERVES AN “F” RATING. Replaced my roof several years ago and I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS EVER SINCE. I purchased a high-end GAF roof but THE INSTALLATION WAS POORLY DONE. Their installation did not come close to industry standards, costing me $15K in additional repairs over the years. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY—UNLESS YOU WANT ROOF LEAKS! Ron H.

Very happy. They were very professional and did a great job. Jonathan is extremely ethical and I would highly recommend him to others.

Had hail damaged roof. During the inspection we asked if they use sub-contractors or employees. We were told employees. Holden replaced the roof 3 months before Hurricane Harvey. Installing crew did not flash the valley of the patio or the fireplace correctly. Caused major leak into master bedroom during Harvey. $5k in damages. Called contractor and he sent the installing crew out immediately during Harvey. They put plastic on the roof but put it in the wrong place. Leak continued. When they came back out a few days later the installer argued with us on where the leak was and kept blaming our siding crew for the damages. We had a different roofer come and inspect and they found his bad installation. Then we called our roof contractor back and asked for a different install crew to make the repairs. When the new crew came out they immediately saw the problem - bad install from 1st crew. We also found out the 1st crew was a sub-contractor crew not employees. So far they have not paid for any of the inside house damages. They did repair the roof under warranty. They also tried to put different decking from what we ordered on roof during install but we stopped the job until they got the right decking. The install crew supv also argued with us saying the OSB they were putting on was actually CDX that we ordered. It wasn't! This was a BAD install crew! The repair crew was much better. But not needing a repair crew would have been best. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

I had Holden Roofing replace my roof on Blue Holly Dr in Corinh, TX (north side of Dallas). I was so impressed with the work, responsiveness, and professionalism of the crew and sales rep that I left my 10yr career with JPMorgan Chss bank and started working with Holden Roofing.

We met with the Salesman who promised it would be handled professionally and the highly experienced crew would take extra care not to damage plants etc.  I stayed home the day the crew showed up not knowing what to expect.  Absolute Armageddon is the only phrase I can think of to describe the 10+ hours.  I spent several hours picking up heavy shingles dropped on my plants since they didn't care where they chunked roofing material.  We also had 5 cages on the roof to keep the raccoons out and they planned to just rip them from the roof. My wife had to repeatedly explain to them to be careful because no one in the crew spoke english.  Once we did speak to the supervisor ( who left early in the AM and never followed up until late in the day ) he stated he had no idea how to put them back on.  We had to get with the Sales Person to ok us calling the company that installed the cages originally and deduct cost from bill.  I truly thought that getting the roof done was the difficult part but much to our surprise their customer service department was the absolute worst.  I referred quite a few neighbors and even my in laws to Holden and everyone of them had issues when it came to the final bill.  Obviously, this company makes it a habit of billing whatever they want hoping some poor sole just gets tired of dealing with them.  Their inside collectors have no idea what their sales department is telling customers and they flat out don't care.  They raise their voice and threaten customers with liens instead of listening to the customer and working through the issues.  I wish we had never heard of Holden Roofing and I will be sure to let anyone who asks know the same.

Horrible business practices. I was informed today that it is their "standard practice" to threaten collections even when they know the insurance company owes money. When they estimated the roof, one of the selling points was they worked with the insurance company to "make sure" the insured received the money for the work. My original estimate was for $7,400 then they made a "mistake" and billed me for $7,900. This was corrected by billing me for $7,600. Once again this "mistake" was corrected to a $7,500 amount. They have done nothing but send collections letters until I finally called the adjustor and insurance agent to discover that I was indeed owed money. Holden Roofing does NOT work with the insurance agent to "make sure" that you get the money you are covered for. You have to do that all on your own. What they will do is threaten to take you to collections knowing your insurance company owes money.

Out experience was horrible. The roof looks worse now then it did when they replaced it. They ruined other parts of our house. Very very sloppy work.

I have already recommended them to a lot of people. The damage was in April, and the insurance company came out with an inspector came out and they said half. Holden roofing came out and they said there is no way they could take pictures of the whole damage. They sent out another inspector, the inspector said half. Holden came back out and said there is no way to look at these pictures.

So the insurance company sent an engineer and he did a thorough inspection and said the first two inspectors were wrong and there was no damage at all. Holden roofing came back again, and spent all this extra time and they went up there and took pictures of all the details, circled and signed, and submitted all that. And because of the detail the insurance company said we usually ask for more information but because of the detailed pictures and information that Holden Roofing sent, we are going to overturn our own people including the engineer and give you full coverage for the roof. Remember, this started in April, and they continued on till November. They could have said "you know what, you're not worth it and we're gonna move on to other people. 

They did all that in April, coming back out several times, and fighting with them at no cost. And nor was it charged later on to the cost of the roof. To me it seemed just part of the service. 

For full disclosure, after everything was done and I even wrote a letter about how pleased I was and blown away by it, they asked if I could do a commercial for them. So then later on, a month later or so, I went over to film and they asked me basically the same things. And they said we will use this for customer satisfaction for the conclusion of a good deal, and then they sent me a card later thanking me with a $25 Starbucks card. 

I wanted to disclose all that, I don't want anyone thinking they paid me for this. I would have done it for free, I didn't charge them anything, they just sent me the card later for the footage. They said the commercial would be attached to their website. 

Poorly, work was uncompleted and service was incredibly rude.

They are not very well liked around here. There was another house across the street from me. See all this happened because of a hail storm here and the house across the street had the roof done but something was bad and they had to redo the roof completely. So that's not a good sign. And that happened after they did my house.
