Rockwall Contractors is owned by Ernesto Castro, who has been servicing the Dallas area for more than 10 years. We specialize in pool remodeling, outdoor living, and interior renovation - such as pool & deck resurfacing, waterfalls, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, retaining walls, driveways, etc. We can take your project from start to finish, start halfway through, or help wrap it up. We handpick the crews we work with on our projects and take seriously how they perform on-site. We choose honest, hard-working, and skilled craftsmen who will use excellent materials to complete the job. Quality masonry and pool materials are our game - we know where to find the best supplies in the Dallas metroplex. We also understand that our customers operate under restrictions such as time and cost, and we work closely with them to scope-out a project that fits their needs. This mentality continues after we start the job, as we believe our best work happens when our customers are informed and feel comfortable giving feedback throughout the process. Ernesto met with us and helped us decide on the remodeling details. He set a schedule and kept the project moving on time. He checked daily on the work and was available to answer any questions or concerns we had. It has been over a month since I paid this guy. There was some really poor work done and he initially reviewed the work and said he would send someone to fill in the pinholes and sand the rough spots of my new Quartz liner. He pretty much did not respond to text messages and calls until I told him I was going to file an unfavorable feedback... So he came out with the subcontractor that did the poor work and instead they wanted to dispute the issue. I chased them off my land. My neighbors used this guy and they have worse complaints. Bottom line is I do not recommend this guy. He says he is too busy selling to bother with making sure the work is being done right.

"Last Saturday we went to Mr. [Member Name Removed] pool wanting to fix the issue but he got really upset for some reason and used bad language and kick us out of his house. We were afraid he was going to get one of his many guns and harm us. We offered him to bring a representative from the Manufacturing company to look at the pool and give us their professional opinion regarding the issue. We are more than happy to solve the issue but we will not accept disrespectful behavior from Mr. [Member Name Removed]"

When I hire a contractor I would expect the contractor to do quality checks of the subs they hire. I had to point out too many things that should have been taken care of like debris from the work piled up and left in my yard, mortar stains all over the rock coping that needed to be cleaned up, Missing return nozzles in the pool that are still missing. Chose a quartz plaster which part of the process is to acid wash to expose the colored quartz. There are splotches where more quarts was exposed during the process than others like the bottom close to the drain. Was told it would even out over time but has not yet.

Ernesto and Julio are both salt of the earth, honest, and extremely thorough craftsmen. We had absolutely no qualms about leaving the crews at the house alone to complete their work; absolutely trustworthy. Craftmanship of sub-contracted cabinets, countertops, and electrical work was also completed with punctuality (some delay in the cabinets) and with a thorough attention to detail. We were extremely pleased, especially considering the scope and size of the entire project.

The work was very good. pool looks great. billing was not done correctly and had to take several tries to get it right. Telling us what we had to do once the job was done was not fully told to us so we had some discussion about that and got the pool full of water and cleaned.

It was a pleasure working with Ernesto throughout the whole process. He was always quick to return our calls. The project started and ended on time and the crew did a great job of cleaning up when they were done. We are very happy with the quality of the finished product. His bid was a little higher than the others that we got but he was able to get us scheduled quicker so we went with him. We will definitely hire him for future projects.

Overall, i am delighted with the final product. Ernesto was comfortable and willing to work with us and our special requests. WOW!  A++++++.   Ernesto is so committed to his customers.  He goes WAY above and beyond to make sure things are done just the way you want them done.  He is an engineer and he is extremely competent.  By far the best contractor I have ever hired in my life.  You MUST hire him.  The work was fantastic and very prompt, and he even showed me some tips on how to work the pool equipment so that I don't need a weekly service any more!  

We had other bids and his price was fair especially considering the commitment to the job he and his crew showed.  Hire him!!!!!
