bathtub refinishing, home remodeling
 + 0 moreDay after work performed we noticed that tub's surface was bubbly, not smooth. The next day we contacted the John Espisito, the person that did the work and the owner of Fusion Finish. He said he would take care of it, but had a family medical situation and would get back to us. Contacted him again and his response was that as soon as medical situation was resolved, he would fix the tub. He has not returned our emails/text messages. It has been 3 weeks since the work was performed. We paid him by check as their was a discount for cash, so we cannot stop credit card payment.
Description of Work: Resurface bath tub.

bathtub refinishing
 + -1 morehave a transferable warranty, it is on his website, but is of no use as he will not make contact with us to repair the job.
Description of Work: John, was very polite, was on time, but he has no business trying to refinish someone's bath and surround. He talks a good game, appears to know what he is doing but his workmanship is atrocious! He taped off and placed paper around our large Jacuzzi style tub approximately 8 to 10 inches from the surfaces to be refinished. He covered a television set that was mounted on a wall above the work area with paper and tape. He taped paper around the tub hardware (did not remove any of it) and proceeded to spray his paint type products. Overspray was everywhere throughout the bathroom! I had to scrape the entire marble floor with a razor blade to get the material off the surface. The interior of the tub is smooth in some areas and extremely rough in other areas, shiny where it is smooth and dull or matt looking where it is rough. The same goes for the surround, it is mostly the matt finish with some areas highly glossy. He told us to take 220 grit sandpaper, wet it, rub in a circular motion to get the rough surfaces off, ourselves! When we pulled the tape off around the hardware of the tub the new surface came off with the tape. He refuses to answer our numerous phone calls and email messages to come back and make the job right. He purports to have a transferrable warranty, which is on his website, but what good is it if he will not respond
