We hired Steve to refinish our wooden armoire and four post canopy bed and simply could not be happier with the finished product, he has completely transformed the pieces, and they are now the highlight of our entire master bedroom and have completely changed the look of the entire space. We live in Dallas and have worked with several people before to refinish some wood furniture, and Steve is hands-down, our favorite contractor we have worked with. He is trustworthy, very reliable, has excellent communication skills with prompt responses, and kept us updated all along the way with a timeline to complete the pieces, he even penciled us in to get our job completed over the holidays. The workmanship on the pieces is simply top-notch, we had reached out to him initially with the goal of trying to update the pieces so they would look more modern and appropriate in our new home, and the end product ended up being better than we had even imagined, there is a true artistic component to what Steve does. He takes a lot of pride in his work and has a passion for what he does. I could not recommend him more highly, and I have already recommended him to several friends in the area. I am the sort of person who typically likes to shop around and vet at least 5 to 7 different people before I select someone to do the job, take it from me, save yourself a few hours, and just work directly with Steve. You will not regret it.

I hired Dawson to refinish my grandmothers dining table and chairs. He came and picked up the set and I paid him half in advance. Itâ  s been a year and for the last eight months he wonâ  t return my calls or text. So now Iâ  ll have to go to court to get my grandmothers table. He has stolen my furniture DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. ......Update 12/30...This is a revision to my first review and the only change is that my grandmotherâ s table was not stolen. When Dawsonâ s picked up my table I told him not to rush because I want it done right. And going from a light stain to a dark stain, I wanted it done right. He picked it up on Jan.11,2023. The communication was good until March. Then he completely stopped responding. I left messages and text. Zero response. I wondered if he had sold my grandmothers table. I was in anguish over this. This table held so many memories for me. So I left a bad review. And in less than 2 minutes Dawson was texting me. Why couldnâ t he have done that sooner?? After all, he had my table all year. I finally got my table back on Dec.27,2023. He had my table and chairs all year!! When I finally got it back the craftsmanship is just horrible!!! It was suppose to be stained dark, itâ s the same color. It has fuzz dried to it. It has major discoloration. There are places that were not even sanded down and place sanded too much. The bottom of the leaf, chairs, and table were not touched. It smelled of varnish and was still tacky, like it was not completely dry. Terrible work! When he finally text me he said he had gone out of state to do some other work. In my opinion, he hadnâ t touch my table and chairs and rushed through it just to get it back to me because of the bad review and he wanted it revised.

He was able to restore my dining room table back to perfect condition.

Excellent refinishingâ  finely detailed and well-crafted. Pricing was 40% less than designer-recommended alternatives and the work was first class.

Steve was very responsive with quick service. We needed about 100 older high end wooden chairs re-glued, touched up and sealed. He did a great job for us at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him.

Steve did exceptional work on several Rattan items I wanted refinished in a dark stain. All he needed was a photo of the color I chose and the master went to work. He sent a picture of the first item he refinished to make sure I was happy with the color. Steve is a perfectionist and takes great pride in his work.

Steve did a phenomenal job with staining and finishing my whiskey barrel!! Has a tabletop attached to it as well as foot risers, and is the perfect look for my home! I've already asked Steve to help me on several other wood staining and finishing projects, and know that I'm in good hands with his expertise and professionalism. Thanks!

Beautiful work. Completely refinished a chest of drawers. Took it from heavily painted, stripped it all down, and now an exquisite natural wood finish. Really amazing. Also installed some feet and replaced the back. Exceptional job. Very friendly. He picks up and delivers. Very fair price. Recommend them highly! A+++++. So happy we hired him. Steve is awesome! I highly recommend this company. Mr. Dawson did an incredible job on refinishing an old mid-century modern cabinet. I first submitted a request for a furniture refinishing company, and he called me within minutes. We arranged for pickup of cabinet only a few days later. He gave us a reasonable time frame of 10-14 days or sooner depending on the weather. I was so happy when he called me 10 days later to tell me my cabinet would be delivered during the weekend. Let me just tell you of the beauty he delivered. It is the most magnificent, razzle-dazzle, Barbie pink, glossy lacquer piece! I marvel at its beauty all the time. Aside from his beautiful work, it was a pleasure doing business with this company. The owner, Steve, is a very nice person. I’ll be doing more business with him in the future.

Stephen Dawson was awesome! He was enthusiastic about the coffee table that I wanted refinished, and he provided valued advice and opinions when asked. Warning: Steve was very attentive in the beginning however we had some delays with him picking up my furniture for repairs. This did not concern me at first. Unfortunately, this delay in response has become the standard. My furniture was picked up eventually and during the transport to his shop my furniture got damage. One of the doors to my cabinet got damaged. I contact Steve to make him aware of the collateral damage and he assured me that he would repair it. Keep in mind, my furniture was picked up on December 3rd and I have left him several messages but he has not repaired my door and todays date is March 11th. I am not referring this company to my family or friends!
