***First Time Customer*** We had a 200 AMP Panel burn early Saturday morning. My husband contacted Barney’s Electric; Barney quickly returned the phone call and agreed to come over the following morning. Barney and Steve arrived at our home on Sunday at 7:00 AM. They completed the job to our satisfaction in a timely and professional manner. Awesome job, definitely a "5 STAR" Company! Thank you, Barney and Steve for taking care of us / our home. Today is Easter Sunday, 2018. All weekend I had been suffering terrible electrical problems at my home. I sent a message to Barney's Electric, hoping that I would hear from them on Monday, but not really expecting a response until Tuesday at the earliest. Well, Barney himself called me within 15 minutes of posting the message. He told me that it did not sound like a problem inside the house. Rather, it sounded like a problem with the power transmission company, Oncor. I sent a message to Oncor and 20 minutes later there was an Oncor truck parked in front of my house and a man was working on the underground power lines. They just completed repairs and everything is back to normal. If Barney's had not been an honest and scrupulous company, this would have been a great opportunity to let me have it. Instead, he responded to my problem in a few minutes ON EASTER SUNDAY, and would not let me pay him anything for his advice/service. There is one thing for sure. When I need service for an electrical problem, I will call one company and one company and only one.....Barney's in Rockwall, Texas. And while I'm at it, Kudos to Oncor as well for their prompt and efficient response!

I had an excellent experience with Barney and his crew. They did a great job at our new home. My line of work requires me to work with all kinds of contractors, for Jobs from a couple hundred dollars, all the way to over a million dollars. I think I have seen it all and I can say that these guys know what they are doing. They are honest, meticulous and their pricing is very reasonable. I just moved to this area and didn't really know anyone I could trust. I did a lot of research, and I am glad I found Barney. Got here on time, did the work quickly and efficiently and they were friendly and professional. We will be calling them for any electrical needs we have in the future.

They did a great job at installing a heavy chandelier in my home. We would hire them again.

Great. Work was performed in a timely fashion and was done correctly. They were able to get out fairly quickly, called me to let me know when to expect them.

Barney called before our appointment time and asked if I was available for an earlier time slot. I agreed, so he came early. He performed troubleshooting on the outlet, replaced it with a new GFI outlet that I had on hand, and then replaced that with a standard outlet that he had since it would be protected by another GFI on the circuit. The work took about half an hour and the new outlet works. He decided not to charge me since the work was so simple and I had the Angie's List coupon for no trip charge. I'll definitely plan to call Barney's again for future work.

The work was well done and the charges were fair and reasonable.

Called Barney, he went there flipped the switch, found nothing wrong and charged me $200. I believe that is excessive for flipping a switch.

Electrician came on time as promised. Quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Charge was just minimum for showing up. Second issue was on a new home purchase. Barney took my call after hours when the problem was found right before close. I needed to know right away if there was a problem. Barney was able to tell me from pictures everything was OK, no charge! I will not go to anyone else for electrical.

Jason called and came early. He quickly identified the problem and made the necessary repairs. Jason was efficient, courteous and thorough. Great job.

Barney, Chris and Jason arrived promptly--actually several minutes early, which was fine with me. They started the work immediately, each knowing his particular job and working quietly and smoothly as a team. Within a short time, everything was in place and working beautifully. It was clear to me that the work detail had been thought out before the team's arrival; I really appreciated this. I will be using Barney's services again and would highly recommend these services to anybody in need of a reliable electrician. My thanks to Barney, Chris and Jason for a job well done.

It went well, he came out on a Sunday and was happy to do it, our AC air handler didn't have power and with it being July (in Texas), he was a life saver. He was quick, efficient and easy to talk to as well.

I called up Barney and was able to get an estimate over the phone, unlike the other company that I had called.  On the day of service, they came and got right to work.  Barney and Jason fastened 3 outlet boxes that were loose in our kitchen. (The tabs were broken.)  In our bedroom, the ceiling fan lights were no longer working when we flipped the switch.  They tested the light assembly and it was fine.  They traced the problem to the light switch in the wall and replaced it.  They worked efficiently and were done with everything in about an hour.

I called Barney on a Saturday morning expecting to leave a message for a call back on Monday. I was surprised that Barney answered my call. I was able to send him a list of my needs using his website. Barney called me the following Monday morning to schedule a date for the work to be completed. Barney and his associates arrived on time and were very courteous and professional. They replaced several electrical outlets and a light fixture, added an outlet where I needed it, repaired two ceiling fans and installed a ceiling fan on my patio. All of this was done in about 3 hours. I mentioned to one of the associates (Rusty) that the plug on my expensive hair dryer was burned up. He helped me located a replacement plug online. I called Barney when I received the plug, and he and Rusty came by and replaced the plug on the hair dryer (no extra charge). Thanks to Rusty, I'm so happy that I didn't have to trash this expensive hair dryer!!!! Barney's Electric is definitely who I'll go to for future electrical needs!

Barney and team were fantastic.  Got the job done, took pride in what their work and fixed my problems even guiding me along the way in how I made the electrical error in the first place.  Good people.
