Animal & House Sitting
It was very important to Doggone Behavior's that they be able to come do a home visit with me and my pets before our trip. She spent time getting to know their/our routine, and getting to see how they were in their own environment. She was very well organized, came with a complete binder to show me that they had verifiable insurance and bonds, had completed background checks, which they do voluntary each year. She got my vets information, my dogs medications and the schedule it was to be taken on. They ask tough questions like "in the event of a pets death, have you discussed what you would like to do with the remains, with your veterinarian or a family member, so i will know who to contact"? I found that very thought provoking, as I had an old dog and it could very well happen; I gave her and my vet instructions, it made both of us feel better.
She provided me with details information about their services, and ask me many questions about each dog( I have one 14 yr old dog and one 2 year old dog), and was very quick to pick up that the young one was very connected with the old one and need to make sure they were fed and played with together. They provided detailed activity sheets for each visit, noting how each of them reacted or appeared to act, if they ate well, went to the bathroom okay, played, administered meds etc. I was so very impressed that she took poloroid photos of each dog, in the event something happened i..e. hurricane, tornado or other disasters, that would require a picture to help ID them. She text us and let us know what was going on and sent us pictures via text message of our fur babies.
There are very few people I would trust with my pets, but I would definitely turn the over to Cynthia again. They were happy and healthy when we arrived home, everything was in order and ready for us to read, she left a nice gift basket for the pups and a good feeling that we made a great decision in hiring them.
