The job was never completed. We have to have another contractor come out and finish the job. The work done by Get Er Done does not pass local town code. They are impossible to get in touch with. The job took over a month, and we were told the job would only take a month. Len was only here at the beginning and then to collect his final check. They contract out all of the labor. I have called and texted Len several times to try and get a refund or the job finished. The last thing Len said to me was that he is glad that he didn't finish the job.
Description of Work: Get Er Done was hired to build a deck on the back of our home.

If I had hired him, he would have done a complete bathroom remodel for me. He is a very personable person. He is a good communicator. He explains the details of what he does. He gave a very good presentation. We got the scope of the job and how he would go about doing it. Basically, we have put the work on hold. The other thing is we will probably talk to a couple of other guys to just make sure that we match up the right person for the job that we have to do.
Description of Work: We used Get Er Done Roofing & General Contracting. He did some roofing job previously. We never used him for anything this time. He had a good presentation and stuff like that. He gave us a quote in the beginning of March.

The initial installation was quick. The crew put down some rolled flat-roof shingle type material and completed late in the evening. When I went up on the roof the next day to inspect the work I noticed the edges of the seams were not glued down and I could pull back the material as much as 4-5 inches in some places around the corners. I called the owner to tell him about it and he expressed his frustration at the contractors and sent them back out to tar down the seams. The roofers came out and applied tar over all of the seams but the roof continued to leak. I spent a good amount of my own time and money over the next few months applying tar over the roof and ultimately determined water was coming in from my neighbor's side and seeping under the roofing material. I spent a few months applying tar to my neighbor's side in an attempt to stop the leak but to no avail. The owner told me he would install a drain in my neighbor's roof (which I was going to pay for) to stop the water from pooling but he never came out and installed the drain despite multiple calls. Ultimately I found someone else to fix my neighbor's roof which slowed the leak but didn't completely stop it. After the most recent rain, I went up on the roof and saw several seams had water coming from them and many more blisters in the roofing material. I emailed the owner to ask if he was going to repair the blistering material under warranty and was told the only option I have left to stop my roof from leaking was to pay him an additional $1000 for some 'tpo' modified membrane which makes me wonder why this membrane was not used in the first place. As far as the bubbles go, the owner sent out a contractor to address the issue once under warranty at no charge. The contractor laid down one strip and a small square of new material and heated it down to the damaged material. This fixed the most damaged area but the blisters all over the rest of the roof are still present. Now I'm being told the other blisters were caused from the water that leaked in from my neighbors side so he won't fix the other blisters. After I was told I had to pay $1000 more to stop my roof from leaking I told the owner if he didn't want to fix the roof under warranty, that's fine, but I was going to share my experience on angies list. He called me a jerk and told me if I did he would SUE ME FOR $50,000 for defamation of character. My intent in writing this review is not to defame anyone or speak ill of Get er Done roofing, it is simply to share my story and the facts as I perceive them.
Description of Work: I hired Get er Done to re-roof my carport.

Response from Get Er Done Roofing & General Contracting
The only thing this man has told the truth about is that I did say that I was going to sue him for defamation of character. We went back three times to repair his roof and due to the neighbors constructual problems, it caused his roof to deteriorate very rapidly. He was told of this situation before we ever started the work and agreed to still have the work done anyway. After he told us that his neighbor had had his roof fixed, we took pictures and found that, again, he lied. He, himself, went to his neighbors house, and put roofing tar all over it which did not cure the constructual problems and the damage to his neighbors roof which led to the water problems running through the two roof systems causing all the damage. As far as punching holes in his neighbors roof, it is illegal for me to do anything to his neighbors house. I have not been given permission by his neighbor and would be charged with criminal trespassing and have to pay for all damages if I had. Just read his post and see how much sense it makes. He never lost his warranty he just did not want to pay for the fix that was needed because the trouble was not on his roof, it was on his neighbors condominium. They are side by side condominiums. He did not show you any pictures of his house because it would have shown the reason why the damage occurred. He, also, forgot to mention that we roofed the rest of his condominium and has absolutely no problems. We have built our business on quality and integrity and this is another fine example of how you can be blackmailed by a consumer that wants more than he paid for. I hope you read this and take it to heart because businessmen like me with over 30 years experience in the industry, do not rely on advertising, but word of mouth. Sincerely, Len Russell.

He is extremely nice! He is honest and he does what he says he is going to do. He is very competitively priced. He answers all questions and is really easy to work with. He shows up on time and they are very clean. They cleaned up after themselves every day which I appreciate. He did a really excellent job on the roofs. All of his workers have been very very nice. I have been very pleased.

He built really nice stone flower beds. He has done trim work, re-sanded and refinished floors. He also did some iron work.
