"This customer was a delight to work with. I was even on a cruise during the work on his home and was able to fulfill my obligation and his expectations. I am proud of the work we have done for the [member name removed]."
1. The plumbing should have been done by a licensed plumber. The shower pipe is not tied down and moves back and forth. I spoke to an actual licensed plumber who said it was not correct and they should come back and tie it down. Instead, he had the tile man put grout in the hole around the plumbing pipe. He does everything the cheap way.
2. All of the tile corners are chipped and/or scratched.
3. He said he ordered a four panel linen door that would match the other doors in my house and still have not received it although I paid him for all supplies on May 22nd 2013.
4. For the obscured glass window he estimated $300.00 in the contract. He has yet to provide that and told me by email the end of July that I had to get my own glass and he was not paying for it. I sent him the email dated April 22nd 2013 that documents where he was to provide for the glass. He replies, ?I?ll call you in a few days.? He has yet to call me and it has been four weeks now. I have tried to call him multiple times and have not returned my phone call.
5. The Texturing in the master bath: one wall of the bathroom is not textured and the corners on the wall were not squared. The texture in the living room where he removed the pole, the corners are not squared and the texture does not match. The wall bows out.
6. The linen closet trim does not match the rest of the house. He told me, ?They don?t make my trim anymore.? I told him, ?You can get it at Home Depot for 96 cents a foot.? It was pennies more expensive than what he provided. The top of the linen closet is not level either.
7. I gave him a key because he was to let the sub-contractors into the house and lock up which he offered to do and we both agreed upon. Instead, he gave my key to a sub-contractor without my knowledge or permission.
8. The Driveway is white from them cutting tile on it. I asked them to power wash it and he claimed there was no need that the rain would wash it away. It has rained four consecutive days after and it was still white. It?s been two months and it is still white.
9. I went to his place of business listed which was actually his home. When the maid answered the door, I left my number with the maid for someone to call me back. His wife called me and said that she would have him call me. He called me about 5 minutes later to set an appointment to come out and see my concerns with everything listed above. Since that time, he has fixed three tiles and still has not delivered the obscured glass, linen door, fixed the texturing, or tie down the plumbing pole. The other stuff I excused because I think it is beyond his capability to fix.
I think he should give me $1800.00 back to cover the obscured glass window, four panel linen door, complete the cornering of the walls and texturing in the master bath and the living room. Also, tie down the plumbing and re dry walling to correct the plumbing as well as the texturing. OR, I want him to come back and complete those things to my satisfaction within the next two weeks. The other items I have excused because it is my feeling he cannot perform. If he doesn?t do it within the next two weeks, I would just rather have the $1800.00 by money order or cash.
"Atlas Custom Homes, Inc. completed the work for this customer and was paid upon completion. The customer contacted me later to complete some warranty work. I informed customer that my daughters mother was in the hospital fighting terminal cancer. The customer did not seem to care. My children's mom was in the ICU and was put on life support. I did leave my children to go do the warranty work for this customer. We completed the things that were under warranty as well as install baseboards and an additional electrical plug that were not included in the contract. We were not compensated for this work. The other things the customer is requesting are not a part of the signed contract and therefore will not be done."
"The final product was beautiful, as the customer stated. The timing was affected by backorders and additional work requested from original contracted plans. These delays are unexpected and often not understood by the customer. However, the final product was beautiful."
