I was connected with Sun Coast from a realtor. He came out and gave me a bunch of baloney. He blew alot of smoke! He explained that he was so experienced with flat roof decks and that he could do it. He gained my confidence and confirmed with me that while flashing was pulled up we should replace the decking boards. He explained he could replace the flooring instead of putting carpet back in the room. I had a company in mind and the style and he told me he would be able to fulfill my wishes. The sheet rock would be repaired and the flashing around the fireplace would be done too. He gave me an estimate of $3,000. He asked for $1,500 upfront to purchase supplies. He began work on June 14. I still owed him $1,500. One June 21st he asked for $750 and I wrote him a check that was cashed on June 24.

He has not finished the work. He stacked up the vinyl for the floor in the room. I looked at the vinyl that night and the vinyl was NOT what I requested. I texted and called him and he didn't respond to me. The next day he showed up to install the floor.  I should have fired him right there. He tried to slip a cheaper product in front of me and claimed they were "similar." I went and got the correct floor and had them install it. They started to rip off the decking boards. I went out to check on them and I realized the flashing hadn't been replaced. He told his workers to put some cold tar on instead of fixing the flashing. I knew that this was wrong!  They went in and out of my house and did not bring in any thing to cover my carpet. I put my own sheet down to keep my white carpet clean. They got tar on my carpet where they did not step on the sheet.

The deck boards upstairs are not finished. They threw away part of my gutter they took off that needed to be replaced with a part that I had.  I now have to have another custom made piece made. They over sprayed the paint and got it on my outdoor furniture. I called him on June 29th and he said "Get to the point." I explained the point was he needed to finish the job. The first part of August I spoke with him again and he confirmed they would come back to finish it. I heard him tell his employees when he left the last time that they were finished and nothing else would be done. Nothing was cleaned up - nothing was done professionally.

This guy is awful. I would hate for anyone to hire him. It was a mess. I have to hire someone else to fix the flashing which will cost about another $1,000.
$300,000
