The floors actually look quite nice.  They were polite and punctual. Mark is a great salesman and made us feel very comfortable from the get go.

Here are/were our concerns:

They did not follow manufacturers specifications on the application (different trowel, didn't use roller to press it down. My husband had to pretty much insist that they raise the foundation up to keep the measurements accurate). When we discussed this with the owner, he said they did this all the time and for us not to worry.  He did, however, raise the foundation to the required height. I called the manufacturer of the wood and he put me in touch with one of their inspectors who told me that he would be concerned if it were anyone but Mark doing the work. He said he had never had a complaint on M-R Hardwood and that they really do know what they're doing.  In light of this recommendation, I let them proceed with the work.

They installed damaged planks and when we discussed this with Mark, he said not to worry, they'd fix it, which they did, by covering it up with caulk and stain.  It was too late to do anything about that after they'd already laid the floor, but it's hardly noticeable now and I can live with it.

Major suggestion: Get any promises in writing. Their contract is a blanket contract that really isn't in the purchaser's favor at all. If you agree on anything, put it in the contract.

The workers were not very professional and work was poor quality. The owner was rarely around and did no supervision of his help.

The vinyl flooring was cut too short to be covered by the shoe-molding in many areas so the space was filled in with caulk. This will not last forever and looks bad. Along some walls where it was too short they turned the shoe molding on it's side to cover the space.

They did not clean up after the work was done. I had to wipe caulk off the flooring, pick up trash they left out in my yard etc.

I was told any left over material would be left with me, however nothing was left here but one vinyl plank. I do not have any left over tile which I may need if one gets broken.

Once he get your money he won't return your calls or answer your emails, so there's no way to get satisfaction for a problem you would like fixed.

I would not recommend him to anyone.

Work began in July and ended early August for the initial installation. Initially Mark was responsive and understood the job to be completed. Once the job began, it was completed without supervision or quality control. We had complaints regarding the lack of clean up, incomplete demo of the tile which was a problem given other work was being completed in the house. Wood floor was installed and then Mark ran out of the wood and had to reorder, delaying the completion. The work was completed in August. In September, we noticed the floor was "spongy." It then began to buckle and we were left with a large hump in our family room. While a metered moisture test had been done, a calcium chloride test has not been completed. Once this was done, at our insistance, we discovered very high moisture content in the family room. It should be noted I had to insist the moisture test be completed per the instructions and results recorded. After weeks of trying to come to an agreement, Mark agreed to honor his warranty and replace the wood in the family room, using a glue that had a moisture barrier. This agreement was reached in late November. The work was not completed until February 14th. Mark was not present during any of the reinstallation and did not check the quality of the work. Mark is not timely with his response although he will ultiamtely return calls, emails, and texts. I also do not feel he was forthright with us on many topics regarding our installation.Mark is honorin his warranty and is staying engaged in resolving the remaining issues.

The floors are just absolutely beautiful. They worked out so fantastically. They were right on bid with the floors and I just love them all. They also worked with me to get a good price. Other places we had looked at wanted like $50000 for this. This company mainly does like gymnasiums, schools and churches. They did not have a whole lot going on at the time when I needed them so that was good.
