While i was bracing myself for a major repair or replacement, I was pleasantly surprised that the problem was simply a blown capacitor.Mr. McGregory had the part in his truck and had the unit blowing cold again in no time. He also checked the coolant level to be sure and reported that it was fine.

Excellent. We placed the call on Friday night at 8:30pm. The serviceman came on Saturday a.m. He was on his way to go fishing in Galveston but called into the office first-- On Saturdays they must always check for any emergency calls before beginning their day. 6+ year-old part was under warranty (meaning, reliable parts/warranty/manufacturer-- they installed two systems in my home 6 years ago).
The owner, Tim, called me later the same day to see how everything came out.
They are not cheap ($120 for service call). Instead, they are completely honest.

The air conditioner was not turning on when it should, due to a faulty thermostat, which was replaced by a new, top of the line, digital thermostat. As always, Air Design arrived shortly after we called and got right to work. It was a half hour job and it was done. They are very professional and did a fast repair job, which minimized labor costs.
