TruGreen Lawn Care - 5425

I was suspicious of my lawn treatment this year as I observed the most recent treatment was with dry chemicals and not liquid chemical as was done in the past. Also, requested a hard copy of all the treatments that have been applied to my lawn to be mailed to me. My first request was about two months ago, 2nd request was a month ago, and now 3rd request was today. I don’t feel too confident that the 3rd request will produce my receipts. I spoke with the manager from the Richland Hills, TX location about a month ago. He argued with me that the dry chemicals is the same as the wet chemicals. When I asked him to explain why they are now using dry chemical instead of wet and he was unable to come up with an explanation. I feel that TruGreen in Richland Hills, TX is intentionally try to cheat me. Currently, my main issue at this time is that they have not produced a hard copy of my previous treatments as requested. I am very dissatisfied with TruGreen in Richland Hills, TX.

Only complaint goes for last year also. The tech doing treatments also treats garden beds and has killed some plants. Apparently they just treat all of it without regard to whether or not it’s harmful to plants. I have to tell them not to treat ANY garden beds

They have been on time every time and have done much more than promised. They are easy to pay and easy to stop if I decide if I want to stop them. They have helped my lawn a lot. I would give them an "A" across the board. He only does about half of my acre.

They're one of the main lawn care services. It takes about 40 minutes to complete the service. The workers are professional and courteous.

The price is $289 a year to come out six times to treat the lawn. They're one of the main lawn care services. There's not many big name services and I don't know of any local people that do that work. It take them about 40 minutes to complete the work. They're professional and courteous.

The work turned out fine, good work, excellent. It’s almost about every 6 weeks, they’re about due right now. What stands out about this service is that they are always timely, they always provided advice as to what they think I need to have. Especially if it is over and above and they do not try to over sell. They really try to take care of things. I don’t do a lot of comparison, but the price seems to be fair to me. They are dead on the time that they say they are going to be there. They have been very good on professionalism. I continue to use them.

We have the worst looking lawn on the block. Told us they would come out to refertilize after we had told them our yard looked terrible. It was pretty obvious it looked awful and they did nothing until we said something, then it took them two weeks to get it done. Obviously they don't really care once you are set up and they just do scheduled work. I don't think their guys look for problems they just apply a standard application.

The first day they showed up to treat the lawn, then another tech sprayed the trees and hedges. The next day I came home and found my yard had been aerated while I was out. I then checked my bank accounts and found they had charged me $242.00! After calling my salesman, Randall Thompson, who stated he would get back to me and now will not return my calls. I called customer service who said I had not received all the bills yet! There is still another outstanding for $150! This $29.95 service has now increased to almost $400! Customer service said they won't charge me for the aeration, although they asked me to pay half and told me that they would be "in trouble" for not billing me. They state they are refunding several of the fees (not all), but it will take several days. I cannot recommend this company!

I prepaid the end of May 2016 for their annual service. The contract referred to yearly and annual. "No where on either contract does it state that year refers to calendar year ending 12/31. When I rec'd invoices for Jan and Feb 2017, I called to inquire why. I was then told that my contract ended Dec 31, 2016....so their definition of annual and yearly is deceiving. The cost for only 7 months, therefore, was very high. There explanation was that I had paid for a specific number of treatments and had rec'd them all. Again, this is not stated in the contract. In addition, one of my mature Possum Haw Hollies died shortly after they treated trees and shrubs, as did a couple of Nandinas. I contacted customer service by email and never rec'd a reply. When I called to inquire about the December 31st end date, the reps were not very polite. I consider their contracts to fall under "deceptive trade practice".

We found them to be very responsive, we've had to make request about we're still seeing these types of weeds and they've trailer-ed our treatment to match that so it's been a good experience.

I've got a contract with them. It costs me $65 every time they come.

I agreed to have Trugreen help me with my St. Augustine lawn become greener and lush since June 2014.  They have been coming approximately every 4-6 weeks however, the grass looks horrendous and the most yellow it has ever been.   I am usually not home when they come to do my lawn fertilization and weed control and therefore I can not tell if they did their job or not on each visit. One of my most recent treatments the technician came, while I was home, and did the treatment ONLY in the front yard and not the back.  I called TruGreen customer service and explained that the technician never knocked on my door and did not treat the backyard like agreed on the contract.  TruGreen sent the same technician out the next day to retreat my lawn and did not knock on my door again.  I lost total faith in this company and feel that they are dishonest and were not treating my lawn.  My lawn is from BAD TO WORST since lawn treatment has been done with TruGreen.  I complained to the service manager and he was happy to close my account!  I do not recommend this company to anyone and do not waste your time and money.

I had a specific issue with my lawn that I told the "800" number customer service about, and they recommended a specific type of treatment. In addition to that, I signed up for the annual lawn treatment plan. At the first service, I talked with my representative about the specific issue I called about and he informed me that Tru Green does not deal with the problem I am having and that the "1-800 people" don't know anything about lawns. He fertilized my lawn and was in and out in 5 minutes.
I then e-mailed the supervisor for my assigned branch and have received no response.
I will try their regular service for a while, but have to say that I feel a bit duped by the whole scenario.

They've been out here 2 or 3 times and nothing works.  They keep telling me that it takes time, it takes time, it takes time but still nothing.  They are not worth the trouble.  Maybe someone else would be happy with them but we are not.

I have subscribed to TruGreen's  lawn and shrub service since the spring of 2013.  Their rep promised that our yard would be lush and green and "the envy of our neighbors".  As of October 2013 our lawn looks worse than with no service at all with many dead patches.  It has been watered faithfully twice weekly with a new irrigation system.  Several shrubs became infested with white fly and I called for an urgent visit.  I was told by the phone rep. that her computer would not let her schedule for the "tech" for my area but she would put in a request through other channels.  Not surprisingly the "tech" never showed up and the next service was on the regular schedule and a large shrub was seriously damaged.  The "techs" for both the lawn and the shrub and tree service spent so little time per treatment that it is difficult to believe they were effective or performed in a professional manner.  Very recently I was notified that a tree & shrub treatment was scheduled for the following day.  As there was prediction for thunderstorms, I called and requested the visit be deferred until the following week.  Well, this turned out to be a major problem and after much negative response it was finally scheduled in the next week.  Based on prior experience, it is very likely that service would never show up.  TRUGREEN appears totally unable to handle any variation in their service schedule which is likely set up months in advance.  Their communication and response to special needs is non-existent.  After I canceled the service in very unambiguous terms they showed up the following day nevertheless.
SAVE YOUR MONEY.  This company is clearly interested in your payments only, and they have minimal or no interest in providing a professional service.  Their internal communications and computer system is terrible.
