TX EPC Painters

BE AWARE. Do not hire this contractor. Jacob and his wife are fraud. He took most of my money without finishing the work. He will send random of the street sub-contractors that you have to deal with as they will not be present at the site. Also, he didn't pay those sub-contractors so they keep coming to you and ask for the money of the work that they completed behalf of Jacob. List of issues: ? Incomplete work (80% of the work is incomplete) ? Use of substandard materials o Master Bedroom low quality tiles o All Recess lights ? Substandard workmanship o Kitchen cabinets paint peeling off easily o Master bedroom tiles installation (uneven) o Wrong paints (Dining area and hallways) o Many plumbing issues in Master bathroom o Random sub-contractors sent to the property o No dumpster rental ? Absence from site o Other than the first few weeks, both of you were absent from the site o Many random sub-contractors sent to the property without any of you present

work started on the 2-14-2025 and ended on the 2-21-2025. On 2-14 two teenage boys arrived No manager, supervisor nor foreman was present, the boys did not speak English a call from Elvia Navarro stating let them in was all I received. And if I had any problems to call Jacob, No drop cloths were put down on my wooden floors, they did NOT cover the stove, fridge, nor the marble counter tops. Popcorn was cleared from kitchen/ living room ceiling within 4hr work time. Left trash in the living room on the floor and called off on the 2/15/25. 2/16 crew arrived an begin to sand kitchen cabinets with work hours 9 am-12:45. 2/17 crew arrived from 10 a.m.-1p.m. 2/18 Jacob called and stated crew wouldn't be coming. 2/19 stove, fridge was then covered to paint the ceiling. I called Jacob to see if crew was going to pull out stove, fridge to paint behind it, otherwise it would not have been done. kitchen cabinets were painted all the inside/ outside even the pipes now I cannot tell which pipe is the HOT water and which is the Cold water, also the side of my stove was painted. Crew did not put electrical covers back on after installing the tile/backsplash.2/19 Jacob called around 8p.m. asking for the second check because he was suppose to be going out of town, My response was No: the work is not completed and i unsatisfied with what i see so far. 2/20 crew arrived cleanup no touch up no walk through from the crew to make sure they completed their job. Elvia Navarro was suppose to provide 3 new ceiling a/c vents and I only received 2, she ordered one of the crew to paint one of my old vents white. I called Jacob and told him that your wife lied about the vents i checked my trash and i see that my old vent was painted. Paint was only applied one time so you can see streaks of the old paint shine through. Paint is on my floor in my kitchen under the cabinets. Washroom doors were not painted on the inside ( washroom is located in kitchen).

I will not use them again,I thought it was someone with Experience but it was too young men had no Experience. Mr Jacob call and ask if he could get paid before job was completed.

Lies. Did not come to the job site, stated he would be here daily. Rotten wood was puttied over instead of replaced, replacing is what I paid for. Did not caulk all windows as stated in contract. Failed to paint 2 pieces of wood. Left overspray and trash all over property. Then I get a knock on my door from a gutter company he subcontracted but NEVER paid. Now Jacob/Rogelio will not answer calls or texts. He is a 5 star scam artist.

Jacob and his crew were excellent even when working around rain days. Their customer service was outstanding. A great eye for details. The Forman was on his game. Highly recommend.

I read the reviews and fell for it. I was concerned the reviews were all recent, but I went with them anyway. Thinking about it now, I am not sure if some of the other reviews are fake. The sales job was really good up front, Detailed and good communication - which stopped immediately after I paid the 50% deposit. I ended up with a cheaper paint than I paid for, the threat of a lien on my house (which I fully expect them to do), and being told I?m dishonest. TX EPC asked me for payment stating the job was done - which was untrue. I drove 1+ hours to go see the work - only to find the entire garage wasn?t painted as well as other things. They stated this was a ?miscommunication?. They then told me they complied with our contract and used the paint specified. Since they had lied previously, I asked for receipts to prove it. TX EPC pushed back hard to not give them to me - and when I finally received them it proved they used a cheaper paint. When I told them I?d pay them the full amount to repaint using the more expensive paint I paid for - they said they can?t do it - it?s too expensive. At the same time, they offered me a 5% ?discount? for paint that lasts 30% less than the paint I paid for. I told them I?d pay to reflect the 30% difference, and then they stated ?I?ve dealt [sic] with dishonest people like yourself trying to work around any excuse not to pay? and that they ?will proceed with a lien [sic] on the property. Don?t take what they say at face value. Ask for receipts, etc. I was hoping this would be turnkey - and it?s far from it. Now I?m going to have a legal battle on my hands while TX EPC attempts to foreclose on my house for a contract they didn?t follow and a series of lies.

Super responsive and knowledgable. Helped me understand what was needed and why. Offered a fair price for excellent results. Team showed up on time, worked diligently and cleaned the space after the job was completed. Highly recommended.

Very competitive price and they were able to fit us into their schedule the very next week. Fence was done in days and is good and solid. Everyone I spoke to was polite and personable. Our yard had a weird area where there is a tree grown in next to the gas meter and right on the fenceline, and they came up with a good, efficient solution that did not add cost. We also had one miscommunication about an important detail, and they owned the problem and fixed it right away, no extra cost. Price of materials also went up between quote and installation, but they stood by their quote. No bait and switch here! You pay what they say. No surprises.

Quick easy contact, polite, clean workers. We were thrilled with the way they were able to fix a burnt section a and match it beautifully with the remaining older section We'd call them again for sure.

They had good followup and customer service.

I had a great experience. I called TX EPC for a free quote and I had them start the next day. I am very happy with the repair done on my deck.
