Title Companies
This was my third time to refinance my home mortgage loan and the third time using Republic Title in Richardson, Texas. All three experiences were very professional and pleasant. I shopped Title Company fees and found them all to be within $50 of each other. (The Title Insurance Policy is state regulated, so that cost will always be the same.) Therefore, I stuck with the one that provides top quality service at a good price. Note: The correct phone number is 972-423-8777 for the Republic Title office in Richardson, TX Tip: When you refinance a loan, YOU should select the Title Company, not the lender. Talk with the Escrow Officer in advance and let the Escrow Officer know that you are making the decision on the Title Company for your refinance. That will encourage the Escrow Officer to watch out for your interestes and help get the lender to meet the loan closing deadlines. The cost will be the same, but now YOU get improved service.
