MW Exterminating Co Inc

Not pleased.
At first, from the day of the estimate, it seemed fine. MW Exterminators had been recommended to us by a family friend whose business uses MW. Plus, the owner of the business is very serious and seems very professional from phone conversations I had with him before contracting with them.
But the actual service guy who came to treat our problem frustrated the bile out of us.
He talked a lot, he was friendly enough. He walked me around the house to show me places that needed attention for rodent exclusion. I primarily hired MW Exterminating because of that walk-around. I thought they would be thorough with their work.
However, on the day of the actual appointment (and on day of estimate), we had several contractors for different services present.
More than 1 other contractor came to me and told me the rodent contractor had been sitting in the car on the phone or standing around smoking and doing nothing for a good amount of time. That was disconcerting but not a huge problem for us (breaks are necessary sometimes, right?) until we walked around and saw several places around the house that were supposed to be treated for exclusion but had been overlooked. I contacted the rodent contractor
immediately and told him. He said he'd come back. He did. On time which was good.
However, then for the follow-up appointment, the rodent contractor
did not show up. It is my understanding that when you have a service appointment,the contractor should show up regardless. I checked my phone, and sure enough he had called 45 minutes before appointment time to say and quot;Let me know when to come.and quot; We had already set the time days before that. Why was he asking when to come? I didn't get that call because we were with other contractors. That kind of 'reminder call' is usually the day prior--not 45 minutes beforehand. So he did not show up. We were home the entire afternoon.
When I contacted him, he said and quot;I got no response.and quot; He agreed to come back in the next few days.
THEN, the next time, he was supposed to come at 4:30. Then he rescheduled to 5:30. Then tried to cancel on the appointment because and quot;the office had just closed for the day.and quot; I'm sorry but what is the point of an appointment if you postpone, then postpone, then don't show up. And how could he not plan his day well enough that he got his appointments done BEFORE leaving the office for the day? It was a Friday. Maybe he had more important plans.
My brother had already rearranged his entire day around this re-re-scheduled appointment, so he nicely insisted that the rodent contractor come anyways.
Then the rodent contractor was late. So my brother missed an important dinner appointment while the rodent contractor
did his followup. He discovered that rodent bait had been eaten but no rodents caught...so how effective is this?? It's been 2.5 wks. the rodent contractor
also said maybe dead rodents had fallen into the walls. THAT's why you use snap traps not just bait, so you know where the dead animals will be. Plus, it also means that there are still holes around outside of house if there are still living animals in the attic but bait has been eaten up. Or, these are ROUSes of the Princess Bride variety.
I wish I hadn't purchased the 1-year $150 warranty because I don't want MW to continue coming out to our house. I want to hire another company to come do a better job. We have a ton of contract work to be completed and we do not have time to repeat and repeat and repeat jobs like this or to reschedule multiple times. Ridiculous.
Again, very nice guy. Very affable. Not very professional.
This was not worth $600 + $150 warranty we will not be using.

They do quarterly pest control service. I spend about $80 per visit. They are always time. I like the guy, who comes out to spray my house. He is very friendly, on time, and very professional. The guy is actually one of the few people that my cat actually likes. He does his job and gets going. I will use this company again.
