Well to begin with, I didn't select these guys because of the organization name.  I looked up tile repair, but didn't like the answers I received from the companies.  So I submitted a job for repair on Angie's list.   Several came in to discuss the solution, but when Mike, the repair guy for Mr. Fix It All, came in and explained why there was mold all over the bottom of the shower, I liked his explanation.
Within a few days he came in and tore out all the defective tile, replaced the shower pan, sub structure, and tile.   The work was excellent, just excellent.   They came back within a few days to make an adjustment to the shower door, without any argument, or discussion.  You cannot go wrong working with Mike and Tony.  Just an outstanding job, I mean outstanding.

Called the provider to ask for  an estimate for a small bathroom remodel. The price he gave was reasonable, in fact a lot lower than what I ended up using now, but because they cannot do the living floors because of the material I am using, I ended up using the more expensive guy.  I wish I could have done it different that would save me a thousand dollars, but I'm running out time (it is rental property)

I contacted Tony for a quote, and told him what I wanted done, he gave me a price over the phone, and I told him I would like something in writing, so he emailed me the quote, which was fine. He arrived when he said he would, I totally trusted him and the tile guy, all were wonderful to work with, and I love my bathroom, turned out great! Will definitely call again!

He is good, excellent. I have used him for years. He is an older gentleman and he works alone. He is good at what he does. He is very competent. His price is super reasonable. He went out of his way because the property was out in the country. He had the dishwasher picked and did a bunch of stuff extra. He did charge me for those. He is a very responsible older man. He is very punctual. He never changes appointments.

Initial contact was very professional and appeared very thurough. Provided a fair estimate based off of our initial expectations. Was not the cheapest, and not the most expensive, but we liked his personality and professionalism. It was a few weeks before the work could start due to vacation. When It finally was started we had to remind him what the job was. (not sure why he couldn't refer to his estimate). As part of the estimate we were to get wood doors that could be stained to match the doors accross the hallway. We were not thrilled when we found that the doors ordered were pine, and the existing doors were oak and therefore there was no way the stains were going to match. We weren't told this until the first coat of stain had been applied. The doors were originally hung backwards where they opened into the walkway and completely blocked the front door. They did re-hang them without any issue. The doors themselves have about a 1/2 inch gap. The room is temporarily used as a bedroom, and the 1/2 inch gap does not provide adequate privacy for my daughter. The sheet rock that was put up in the doorway that used to lead into the kitchen does not have a stud running up and down, only one was added sideways to support a standard door opening. It won't take a lot of pressure on the wall to break through it. There were several pieces of trim that were left undone. The person that did the staining put some scraps together to finish it off in ordered to get paid.
Overall I might use for small jobs where I can be there to observe, or for the texturing and painting. We were disapointed to pay the amount we did and to not get doors that matched nor to get doors that actually sealed the room to provide privacy..

On 12/27/13 I sent a message to Mr. Fix It All through Angielist.. I requested an estimate to replace a patio door. I never had a response from him. It is possible he doesn't checks his messages. Since I was running out of time and my patio door needed to be immediately replaced, I went ahead with another provider.

I have had good results with him before and this time it was not quite so good. I had a number of projects and most of it went well but the fireplace job didn't go well for whatever reasons. We were putting stones and veneers up and I don't think that the guy that was doing the work was used to stones and veneers, he was just used to working with tile and it just didn't work well. We had to tear it off twice and start over, because it was not leveled; you walk through the front door and you could just see it crowding at you and that was not good. The total price was inclusive of materials and labor. Tony was okay, his carpenter was excellent and I would hire him back in a heartbeat but the other guy I had not dealt with, he was having some health issues so I think probably Tony should have found somebody else to do the work. I might use the company but I am also exploring other companies and I would definitely not sue that contractor that worked with Tony.

Mr Fix-It-All I used him a couple months ago. The last time I used him I spent about $250 I think. It's been over 10 months. The last time I used him I spent $60 it was about six weeks ago. He is a professional. He likes to make sure things are done right. He's always likes to build up jobs. He doesn't do things half way. He has done a lot, I had a faucet that froze and busted on the outside and he did a good job of matching the brick and everything, put a new faucet back in. So he's done a lot of thing around the house for me.

When was the last time you had a handyman who's standards were so high and quality of work was superior to anyone you've ever been to? He did a really excellent, detailed job. He was very ethical with high standards for his work and had great morals. He was so professional. He finished the job so well and explained everything to me as he was completing each task. He was very patient and I felt that each task was reasonably priced. One of Tony's employees on a previous service call also did a very fine job. When I need a handyman again, there is no doubt in my mind that I will ONLY call Mr. Fix-It-All.

Over the past couple years, I have hired Mr. Fix-It to do several home repairs and home remodeling jobs. My calls are returned promptly, estimates delivered within 24 hours, and jobs are started and finished on time. I have been very happy with the quality of work he has done for me. Mr. Fix-It is professional, courteous, and friendly. He takes the time to listen to what you want, to explain what it will take to accomplish it, and he goes over the finished job with you. I plan hiring him again for future home improvements. Penny M. Flower Mound, TX

Tony has done many handyman jobs for us over the years and does quality work at reasonable prices. He determines what it takes to complete a job, no more, no less, and does it well. Would recommend him for any general home repair work.

We have a second home in Richardson, near UTD. Our son and college roommates have been living in it for the past 5 years, and NOT taking very good care of it. We live in Round Rock, three hours away.
We've decided to not deal with roommates anymore, repair and start remodeling it to either sell or rent, while our son remains in the house.
I needed someone that I could count on, and trust to be honest with me about the work involved, and then get it done, without me needing to me there.
Tony turned out to be the guy. He's been terrific, works fast...which means the job is not as expensive as it could be, knows his stuff, offers up creative ideas instead of just the expensive ones, and has adapted to our chaos in the turnover in the house of roommates.
He's the professional that you've been hoping for and can trust. Hope he likes us, we'd like to keep him around!
We've got a LOT more to do.
