They tried one thing, which did not work. Tried a second and it worked great. It was way cheaper than replacing the unit (which another company suggested). It is a year later and the unit is still working with their repair. I appreciate the economical choice, and will choose them again.

My AC/heat pump went out in August. I had 5 different AC guys come in to troubleshoot the problem, and every single one of them said the entire system needed to be replaced. All 5 said part of the problem was that my compressor was too large; 3 said it was a 5-ton unit and 2 said it was a 4-ton unit. One of the guys also said it was rated at just 7 SEERS. I found the model number on the compressor and looked it up on the internet and discovered it was a 3-ton, 13 SEER unit, and realizing the previous guys were either incompetent or had lied to me, I called Hammack. Billy came in and inspected the components, including going up into the attic, and then asked, "So why do you think you need an entire new unit?" I told him I'd been told it was the only solution. He looked at me and said, “Let me ask you something. Did this unit go out right after the guy started working on your ceiling?” I'm having a tongue-in-groove plank ceiling installed, which was going on when the other guys showed up too. I said coincidentally, it did. He said, “Well, I think what happened is they pierced a line with a nail gun, and that’s where all your Freon went. The only solution is to go in and find where the line is pierced, and that will have to be fixed, but if that's not done, no matter if you got a new system, you'd be in the same position all over again." So my ceiling guy removed boards and made a few holes in the sheetrock and Billy found the leak. He repaired it, and added Freon to my old system, and got that up and running just fine. He literally saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. I'll be using Hammack and recommending to everyone from now on.

I've been with them for years. I have them scheduled to come on Tuesday. I have them every spring and fall to check the furnace and the air conditioning. I pay one fee for the two inspections a year. It's called the plan service. So, I pay $150 for them to come out twice a year to check the air conditioning or the furnace. If they do anything I get a discount and a discount on parts.I'm very happy with that price. They're always on time.

In the spring they come out and they service the air conditioning system, and in October they come out and they service the heating system. They do both units. We have two units, and it's under $200, so it's a very good deal. On occasion, they've had to fix something and there's a supplemental charge for that.

They do it twice a year. I have a service contract. The price is why we use them; their price is very, very reasonable. Top rate. They've always been first rate.

We have a regular time where they come out. They tend to be here whenever I need them. We have them on a regular schedule.

We've used them for a long long time. They are our go to guy. I give them an A for everything. I would absolutely use them again. They have always been really helpful, and give us timely service.

Checked each item found on most maintenance lists (filter, amps, Freon, drains, blower, pressure, heat exchanger, gas valve, etc.), things that I really don't know about, but want to work as they should. Then, he left after almost an hour of checking. Did a very thorough job, and best of all, found that my system was completely normal and performing as it should. Nothing needed to be done!
Although the price was at the top of the usual bracket for these calls, I feel he was thorough, reliable, and honest. I will definitely keep them as my go-to company for heating & AC.

It went great.  They gave a very fair proposal which we accepted to totally remove existing HVAC and replace with heat pump HVAC.  They were very careful removing the old system to avoid dirtying our carpet.  Put in the new system.  Totally replaced all copper to ensure no leaks.  I had bought a WiFi thermostat which they installed after removing my old thermostat.  Cleaned up everything and just left me with a great running Lennox heat pump HVAC system.  I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC repair or replacement.

The service was fine. They were on time. A year before that, we had them put in a new heating system and when we had estimates for a new air conditioning system, we had them bid on that and other people. The other people pointed out to us that they did not do the heating according to city code so we didn't go back to them for the air conditioning. I actually spent a lot of money with them and trusted them to do the job right, and it turned out they didn't. They showed up on time when we asked them to. They were competitive in price. It was as good as anybody else's price.

We've used them for 20 some years, maybe more than that. It's been good. I eventually get to know the person that comes out and they always do a good job of checking anything, and I don't have to worry about.

I had used Hammack before when I had heater problems.  They inspected the system and said it working ok.  Only charged a diagnostic fee.  They could have easily sold me unneeded parts and service but they didn't.   My system was very old (34 years) so I decided to have them replace it now.   They did the work in one day.  I haven't had any problems with it so I believe they did the work correctly.   They cleaned up after themselves.  They held to their original quote to the penny.  The only minor concern I had was that they replaced my working programmable thermostat with a non-programmable one.  When I saw that they had done this I asked them for my old thermostat and they retrieved it for me.   I should have asked them about the thermostat when they went over the quote with me but they should have asked before they replaced a programmable one with a non-programmable one.   Again, very minor concern and easily correctable.  The system they used for the replacement is a 5 ton Lennix system.   I would use Hammack again without hesitation.

I have used Hammack A/C for over 20 years. They are fantastic from top to bottom! Most recently, our 2 year-old Lennox Heat Pump was giving us problems. The issue was unusual and difficult to diagnose. After multiple service calls for which I was never charged...once on Saturday...once after hours...phone calls (by our tech) to Lennox Service...testing of our Heat Pump parts inside and out...research online and more...THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED! Never once did our tech throw up his hands; he was always polite (even when I was upset! Hammack A/C and Heating folks are champions in my book!

Have been using them for a/c service for several years and they provide good customer service.  Their installers were prompt and had the system fixed within the time estimated.  We are happy with their service.

They are extremely wonderful.  They go above and beyond. He installed a carbon monoxide sensor without charging me because he is so kind.  They keep helping me repair my A/C to keep it going until I can replace the whole thing.

Technician was prompt (always appreciated) and gave thorough explanation of testing results.  Had AC units checked first and then furnaces later in the year. Only thing I would say is they apparently don't remind you of second service (if you do summer AC check and pay for annual maintenance, you need to remember to call and schedule furnace check later in year), so put it on your calendar.
That is why responsive graded slightly lower.  It would be nice to get a reminder by mail, e-mail, text or some other way.  Would use again without hesitation.
