How did it go overall? In a word GREAT! Mike McCoy is a
craftsman, he takes pride in his work and it shows. Mike builds his own doors,
cabinets, etc. He has a great laid back, a can do attitude. I met Mike through
our Interior Designer, Andrea of Andrea Krolick Interior Design (see my review
of her), who I found on Angie's List. Mike was one of several contractors in a
extensive remodel of a new house (the house builder would not, could not, did
not give us what we wanted, that's another story). In the beginning, Mike came
in, we discussed what we wanted and what needed to be done. He coordinated with
the other contractors on time lines so everyone wouldn't be working around each
other and that an over all quality product would be provided. Mike stayed in contact
with us on all aspects and our availability times for install. I could go on
and on; my wife and I love what Mike did for us, we got exactly what we wanted
and they look wonderful. Thanks, Mike!

Mike provided an estimate and came out twice to finalize the design of the mantel. They built and installed a custom craftsman mantel and did an outstanding job.

I recently bought a nice new home. The only access to the attic was upstairs inside the house. So I wanted to add a garage pull-down ladder so I could access my attic without always dragging stuff thru the inside of my nice house. Mike gave me a full estimate before the job and had great advice on how to save money. Mike is very fair on pricing with no surprises. My project was a bit higher priced because I went with an extra-wide attic door opening and an extra sturdy wide attic ladder. Mike showed up on time and was very friendly and a good listener on exactly where I wanted my new attic ladder installed. My attic door looks and functions great. Mike even added some nice pretty trim around the door opening you can see from inside my garage. Very nice guy that is very skilled in all phases of carpentry work. I will use Mike again on my next carpentry, cabinet, and wood-working project.

Mike showed up as soon as called, measured and made as estimate of $215 for the job. Although I wasn't in a hurry, he built the items in two weeks, put them in today and installed my hardware, which we didn't include in the original estimate. He also spent some time trying to make two of my existing drawers work better. The items are a great match. I was so pleased with the doors and fronts, his attitude etc. that I added an extra $35 to my check.

Mike came out shortly after we called to give us an estimate. Got to us quickly and had the attic stairs installed quickly with very little disruption. Kept area clean and organized.
