the sheetrock in my newly purchased house was a wreck (you could see the panels separating in most rooms and the previous owners had a penchant for silver and bright colored paints in every room). the drywall looked like someone had punched a big hole in the ceiling in two rooms and every square inch required some repair or replacement of the drywall.
they did an exceptional job. the house is a 1920's craftsman and they took care to repair the drywall as if it was their own house. Alex and his dad work for Eagle contractors and they worked as a team on the house. They were there for three weeks (although the estimate was for two weeks). they were timely and considerate, cleaning up after themselves every day. they were available via text (which was a godsend with my schedule). they answered all of my questions and helped with a few minor repairs while they were there. on the last day, they accommodated my schedule and finished on a weekend, even though they don't normally work those hours. and at one point during the job, my deck sprung a leak (completely out of the blue) - alex told me what part to get at home depot and he fixed it for me on the spot - saving me $$$ from a plumber call!
the work looks great, i get compliments all the time. i would hire them again for any detail work on the house.
the only downside is that the quote was for 2 weeks of work (they charge by the hour) and with the repair work running over an entire week - i ran out of budget to finish the painting.
that being said, I'd highly recommend this crew for any discerning house owner. they truly love working on older homes and their craftsmanship proves it.

Did a great job of adding the recessed lighting with the new LED lights with 3 way dimmer switches. All tolled he added 8 in the living room and 4 in the Master BDR. He also removed an old halogen track light in the living room and repaired the ceiling. - can't tell it was ever there. He also painted the Living Room and Dining Room

The existing slate was crumbling and coming loose. Jon Seay removed all of the existing slate tile and old mortar. He then installed new mortar and laid the new porcelain tiles in a pleasing random pattern. He then suggested that we may want to consider cutting some of the leftover new tiles to create a baseboard effect by covering the portion of the slab that was visible. We all agreed that this gave a more finished appearance. This is why we like working with Jon; he is always thinking of ways to improve the final installation. So he installed the base and the finished patio looks great!

Once again, Jon Seay of Eagle Construction has transformed an area of our home. This time it was the Master Bathroom. Jon is great to work with and is always on the job. This job required working to a point, letting others measure then coming back after they had fabricated their part. This was true of the shower pan and walls, then the shower glass enclosure, then the marble. Jon was willing to work other jobs in between. He helps to work through challenges that arise and suggests items that shold be attended to now to avoid future problems. This is the third time we have had him do major work and we have always been more than pleased with the results. He is thorough and meticulous, even if that takes him longer than he expected. His attitude and good nature are very much appreciated. The before and after photos are the best evidence of his abilities, although the bathroom looks even better in person.
Note: the homeowner paid for all of the materials used by Jon. The shower walls, pan, glass enclosure and granite were installed by the companies that provided them.

Showed up first day on time and worked steady until finished. Very pleasant and knowledgable. Works slow but steady and honored his estimate even though the job took about three times what he first estimated without a single complaint.

Jon was prompt in coming to the property to review the repairs needed and to submit a bid. He had a prior committment and was clear when he could begin my project. The work began on time and was completed by the agreed date, with a few final touchups the following week. The work performed was of top quality and the house is now "like new". Jon and his employee were professional and diligent, going out of the way to address any and all repairs. Eagle Construction is my company of choice for all home repairs!

Everything went very well. He was very polite and came when he was supposed to. I had a little problem afterward, unrelated to the work he did, but he came out and fixed it at no cost. I was very happy with his work and would certainly consider using him again.

They modified couple of walls, and did kitchen re-modeling. They did a great job. They answered all my questions, and also suggested many ideas about the project. They were professional, and punctual. They also cleaned up, once the work was done. My overall experience with them was good.

I contacted Jon Seay for an estimate on the bath remodel shortly before Christmas. He met me at the tenant's home and reviewed the area, promising an estimate w/in a week. He also explained that he was currently completing some projects and that he would not be able to start this one until the week of January 5th. The work was actually begun on January 12th and took 3 weeks. Everything that Jon encounterd was in worse shape than we thought (the home is 28 years old) but he was able to repair or replace everything--including a washer drain that was leaking while he was there! The additional cost for problems we found was minimal, and most of the labor he "threw-in". Jon always was respectful of my budget, but he never cut corners. If there was a question about something, he always asked. He takes pride in his work and the results show it. His work is professional and complete and his attitude and customer service are exemplary.

John Seay did a good job. He was able to do all of the work in about a weeks time. I had several estimates and his estimate was reasonable. I was glad the that the crew was here every day and got the work done quickly.

Overall went reasonably well. The job took longer than hoped, but that was our fault, not Jon's. We had quality issues with our sink base cabinet and had to wait for reorder. Jon did a great job opening up a wall to our family room. The backsplash was great and we've received many compliments. He matched the texture of our existing walls well on the new painting. He was nice, pleasant and the kids liked him. I trusted him completely. He even found us a deal on our floor tile we wanted and we got a great price. The one issue is our floor tile installation. The travertine just doesn't look right in some places. We had a foundation issue and we told Jon about this up front. He thought he had a good solution to minimize any future issues, but in the end I think it wasn't right. The floor should have been leveled more completely. As a result, there is lippage and it drives me crazy. Jon knocked off a lot from the bill to compensate for it, which I appreciated. He clearly knows how to install tile. I think this was just a unique issue. Depending on the job, I'd call Jon again. Jon's prices are good and he is pleasant and responsible. Some people are complaining about his time management, which I can see, but remember it's a trade-off. If you want something done in a day, pay for a multi-man firm.

They were incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The price was very fair. The workmanship was perfect, he went well beyond what I asked him to do.

I found Jon Seay of Eagle Constructions on Angie's List, and was impressed by the positive reports he seemed to have received. I contacted him, along with a few other companies, but found him to be the most confident, and reassuring person among all those I interviewed. I explained what I wanted to do, and he came over to take a look for himself. We negotiated the price, and agreed upon a competitive deal. He came over on the appointed day, and started on the dividing wall. We got the only surprise of the project then, that part of the dividing wall which was to be taken down was partially load-bearing. He fixed that issue by installing joists in the attic to make up for the lack of the load bearing section. He waived the labor costs for this. He completed all three tasks in fair time, considering he had to spend some extra time taking care of support in the attic. Jon and his assistant did the whole job very well, taking care of all my wishes. He works steadily and surely. I am very happy with the job he has done.

I got his name from Angie's List and it said he was an award winner. I couldn't find any reports on him and it didn't say when he was this award winner. I called him and he gave me an estimate in excess of $12,000 but we had to stop him early as the quality of his work was terrible. He subcontracted out the sheetrock work and painting and this lady did a lovely job. Thank goodness the plumbing was already done and inspected before he started. He was very nice and professional when I talked to him but his work was terrible. His helper ruined all of the baseboards and he said he could lay slate and granite together but he didn't know how to do it. It took forever and I think he was just stretched too far. He wasn't the cheapest bid that I took and he thought he could do more than he was qualified to do. It was taking way too long and he wasn't showing up on time or calling and there was even times he didn't show up at all because he had to go to another job site to do work there. When I pointed out to him the areas that I was very disappointed with, he looked real sheepish and said that they would fix it. They did end up refunding some money.

Jon is a great guy. We've used him in the past to do some other work around our house and couldn't be more pleased with his professionalism and the quality of his work. He did an excellent job with each task. The bathroom ended up looking even better than we expected. He arrived on time; did a great job of cleaning up each day; and treated our home with the utmost respect. I would highly recommend him for any work you may be considering around your home. I have no doubt that when the next house improvement project comes up, we'll be back in touch with Jon.

Once again Jon Seay did a wonderful job. He figured out the necessary angles to make the baseboard work. He sanded the corners of the boards where they met the existing shallower door casings. He executed a tricky transition where the baseboard spanned the wood floor which was higher and the tile floor. The application of beaded board upgraded the look of the island and kitchen cabinets from ho-hum builder's standard to a cottage kitchen feel. The front door was transformed from four separate elements with sheetrock between them to a cohesive front door piece that you see in magazines. The outdoor repair work was done carefully and well. Jon even cheerfully redid caulk on the front slate that we messed up after being warned not to do so.

Jon and his sidekick Freddie did an absolutely magnificent job!! We could not be more pleased with the way our house looks. Jon and Freddie are truly masters of their craft. They arrived when they said they would, worked diligently while they were in our home, and treated our possessions with the utmost care. We had new carpet installed BEFORE we had the house painted, but Jon assured us that would not pose a problem. True to his word, not one drop of paint or primer ever found its way to our new carpet. Having one's home painted is not usually a pleasant experience because of the upheaval, inconvenience, and smell. Jon and Freddie, however, made the experience (which took 9 full days) as pleasant as it could possibly be. We trusted them so much that several times they worked while we were out of the house. The quality of their work is amazing, and Jon's attention to detail and eagerness to please his customers is truly remarkable. We will use Jon again without hesitation!
