Bobby Garcia overpromises and underdelivers. If you want a project done on time and completely go elsewhere. He came in with quote for the work and then proceeded to completely gut the home and not come back to do any real work on it for four months. Then he kept raising his price after giving me a firm quote at the start. He kept saying he would be finished in a week and this went on for about two months. He finally walked off the job prior to completion saying he was losing money. He tried to blame his lack of professionalism on me, berating me in texts. I had to scramble to finish the work myself. Don’t use this guy!

Like some reviewers stated all smiles. Bobby rarely showed up to the job site. His subcontractors did not know what to do and many did not speak English so engaging them was a problem. Bobby quit the job less than 1/2 way done even though he had received 36K of the 60K contracted. All of the plumbing work had to be completely re-done as it was not done correctly and in many areas not glued. His plumbers left raw sewage all over kitchen and bathroom floors and waste exhaust uncapped. The electrician shocked himself several times as he did not know what he was doing and almost started a fire. As a result of his work most of the house had to be completely re-wired. Ceilings were left open and framing not properly braced. The extra re-work we had to complete due to Bobby leaving us cost well in excess of the 36K we gave him. We simply asked for the monies back for work he billed us for that was not complete and monies for the errors his staff made. Attached is only one section of the many that were left open in the middle of the summer heat. Too many others to include. To date no response from Bobby. Run don't walk from this guy.

I have worked with Bob Garcia for over 10 years. I first hired his company for a front door install and it went so well I had him trim my windows in the family room and kitchen. The craftsmanship is stunning and is the perfect update to a boring rectangular window. We then had Bob build us a third garage addition onto the house. The brickwork is seamless. The pitch of the roof mirrors the rest of the house perfectly. He even built a customized double door and ramp for the riding lawnmower at the back of the garage for easy access to the lawn area. Everyone thinks the 3rd garage came with the house. Over the years we started purchasing rental houses and Bobs crews came in and did roofs, fences, painting, flooring and room knockouts to update outdated floor plans. His biggest project to date was a 1700 sq ft rental project that had severe foundation issues with walls and the roof detaching from the ceiling. Once we had the foundation fixed he came in and replaced the roof, opened up the kitchen area to the living room, put in laminate flooring, updated the fireplace, repaired all the walls, put in granite in the kitchen and bath areas. he removed all the old siding and replaced with 5 inch cement siding, repainted the exterior with a dark blue and white trim and added dental work to give it a gingerbread house look, installed an irrigation system, put in a new fence, improved the landscaping and backporch. The house became the best looking home in the neighborhood and i’ve noticed that two other houses in the community have used his color scheme for their homes. I have recommended Bob to numerous friends and relatives. He never disappoints. My daughter is hiring Bob’s team to redo the roof and siding on her home in Ft. Worth. I highly recommend Bob Garcia for any house project. His bids are always amazingly reasonable and far less then other contractors. I always recomend my friends get a bid from Bob before committing to another contractor.

The work they've done has been fantastic and perfect. Bobby, the owner of Champs Construction, worked with our insurance company when they were involved in a project. Bobby is professional, honest, and offers reasonable prices. I will continue to use their services and recommend them to others.

Immediate service. They were out working on the roof the same day. I looked at it one day and it was completed the next. They go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied.

This company has done work for me on three different occasions. I have always been very pleased. Especially my patio cover. It looks so good. I had no problems. I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

TERRIBLE. He is all smiles. He took 2k to replace my fence and purchase materials to replace my roof, while the remaining amount would be paid on completion. He took the money, had his subs provide a mediocre fence replacement and never completed the roof. At one point, I had his roofing subcontractors at my home with materials they purchased for the job. They were not willing to start because they had not been paid. They waited at my house all day. We agreed that Bobby would not complete my roof and that he would pay me the difference of the fence which was completed and the remaining money which was paid to him. ($600). After months of calls and him promising to send me the money, to no avail, I have left reviews to warn everyone about his tactics. After leaving a review on his Google page, I received a bogus invoice saying that the fence was paid in full for $2000!!!! All in hopes I will not take legal action. BEWARE. HE IS A LIAR AND A THIEF.

Very nice individual that had some good references, but no one item was completed all the way.

Funds given for job were misused and in some cases subcontractors not paid.

Electrical work did not pass inspection and required additional work by owner and also required license professional to complete.

Plumbing work did not pass inspection and required additional work by owner and also required license plumber to complete.

A/C that was installed was not sufficient to cool house and the unit was found to be discontinued with limited warranty.

Flooring was installed and subfloor not prepared properly so now we have rocks under the flooring and definitely not level.

Countertops were installed but backsplash / tile work had to be completed by owner.

Sheetrock / Painting was never 100% completed.

Paid for quality work to be done and the punch list is huge.

The contractor ended up aborting the project prior to completion and did not do a final walkthrough. His business card displayed the BBB logo and "Member Dallas/Northeast Texas." However, in contacting the BBB I discovered this company was not currently a member of BBB and had never been a member of BBB in the past, but was fraudently using the logo on the business card. The company is a/k/a BG Contractors. We had a verbal agreement but no written plan and this was a mistake. He said more than once he would provide that but never did. Most of the work was okay. The ceilings that were painted need another coat and two ceilings did not get painted at all. Things became very tense and there were problems on both sides from the start.
