Mike was very flexible on when he could perform the services, and could have done the work the next day if we had wanted him to. As promised, he called before arriving, and was very prompt. He reviewed and explained what he was going to do, and finished the job faster than I had expected. His price was what he quoted over the phone (+ tax), and he was friendly and courteous.

Mike came shortly after I called. He is a hard worker, cheerful, and professional. He mentioned in our conversation he had been doing garage doors for several years. As a DIY handyman, when I was younger I would replace the broken springs myself, i.e., I know something about repairing garage doors. His work confirmed that he knew what he was doing and he rightly took pride in his work. He explained why both springs needed replacement. He suggested I consider upgrading the quality of the track rollers to ones with ball bearings (at a very reasonable price), but without any pressure. He cleaned, then lubricated the opener mechanisms. He explained why the door bottom seal was a few inches shorter than the door, why it was difficult to replace just the seal (the oxidation that would prevent sliding the new rubber into place was clear from the bare area that made me ask). He took a small piece of new door seal and devised a workable fix for the shrunken seal. After testing all to my satisfaction, I paid him and he was off to the next job.

Great! I called at 8:00 AM because our garage door was bouncing back up automatically as soon as it hit the ground. Mike arrived on time by 10:00 and assessed the problem quickly. Our belt was showing wear that affected how high the door lifted and how low it went. He gave us estimates for replacing the belt or replacing the motor and we decided to replace the motor since it would be a different kind of lift system that we believed would be more durable than a belt system. Mike returned quickly with parts and completed the job quickly. He took the time to show me how the system operates before leaving. No muss, no fuss....quick service with a smile. Very thankful to have it repaired so quickly.

Mike Ward was awesome. I called at 8:30am and he had an opening at 10am. Mike called when he left his 9am appt and showed up before the 10am appointment. Mike quickly assessed the situation and began to work. At 10:30, Mike re-appeared and briefed me on the work he had done. In 30 minutes he upgraded my garage door spring from a single spring to a dual spring system, lubed all the key parts and even repaired an and quot;out of squareand quot; rail.
Excellent work and workmanship. I would definitely recommend Mike Ward to my family, friends, and neighbors.

I luckily did not have to go into work that Friday when the garage door wouldn't open. Mike was available immediately and came out within 30 minutes. All went fantastic, Mike was friendly and knowledgeable, went above and beyond and even gave me a discount on the weatherstrips because I had so many things to take care of. He was on time and professional. I highly recommend him!

We moved into a house with a free standing garage. The garage door was fastened to the wall with no opener and therefore did not function. The sellers provided a garage door opener, but we would have to have it installed. A friend recommended this company as she thought he did a good job on her garage door repair. I called Mike and he was able to come out the next morning. He arrived on time and was very kind and clear. He told me the opener I had wasn't very good, but he'd install it anyway because he couldn't return it as it had been discontinued. He estimated it would work for 3-5 years and the plan is to install a better one then. The job was performed in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. I have since recommended AWard Garage Door to my mother and her neighbor. Both have been very pleased with the work Mike did.
