Animal Medical Center of Richardson

The Vet misdiagnosed & mistreated our Kitty. After multiple night visits (a total of six nights) - two separate visists - it was apparent that this Veterinarian Office was lacking concern for our cat's declining health. They also charged for items they said they would not. We paid for multiple blood tests and xrays that were not necessary. After the second extended overnight stay we took the Kitty to a different Vet where she was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor. Because of this Vet's misdiagnosis; we missed out on the last few remaining days with our Kitty. She lay in a cage at Animal Medical Center of Richardson for three days and they did not even know she had a broken foot. It wasn't until they took her out of the cage as they were preparing her to be released did they notice her bloody foot which was noticeably swollen. She also had a very high fever which was partly due to her pain. Our pain in our heart is knowing she was dying, sick and in extreme pain under Veterinarian care and they did NOTHING - but our final bill was over $1600.00 at this one Vet. They were not willing to work with us on the charges or overcharges at all. PS Our Cat had been going to this Vet for several years!!!! Our precious Sasha passed way 3/13/17, thirteen days after we took her to Animal Medical Center of Richardson. By the time she got to the Vet who diagnosed her correctly, she was too sick to survive surgery......

I highly recommend them. They're not cheap, but they're very thorough and very nice. They're very knowledgeable. If you have a problem, they get you in right away.

It went well.  The vet worked with the cat, while the technician worked with the dog.  
As always, I was met pleasantly, and the service was prompt and efficient. I value the business.  Dr. Shuttlesworth has treated my pets for over 20 years.  I trust her to do what is right for my animals, and there have been a lot of them over the years!  The other vets in the practice are excellent, too.  
I also board my animals at the clinic.  I know they will take very good care of them while I am out of town.
I highly recommend this clinic.

I am happy they were able to work with my difficult rescue dog.  I have had problems with this dog at other vets offices and they worked with me to bring my dog several times for social visits.  They made me feel comfortable about the way my dog was behaving and were very willing to work with a difficult dog without immediately recommending that they knock the dog out in order to complete the work needed.  I have gone back to them for boarding and I will continue to use them as the vet for me dog.

Dr. Wiles had resolved a skin problem with our other cat that was causing extreme hair loss due to excessive grooming.  We where impressed with the transformation of the cat's coat after treatment.   
Because we were very satisfied with the outcome of the treatment of the first cat, we took our other cat in for a routine exam and  shots.

I think Dr Shuttleworth did an exceptional job of taking care of my pet considering the German Sheppard who attacked her actually had my dog in his mouth and was shaking his head trying to injure or kill her.  It is obvious Dr. Shuttleworth did everything necessary to insure my pets full recovery without complications. For a day-long stay in intensive care I certainly consider the charges reasonable.

They are excellent veterinarians...very capable and caring.

They have been our vet for maybe 20 or 25 years. It is operated by Dr. Dee Shuttlesworth. She has a couple of other vets with her. I think they are all excellent. They are very fine people. They take care of the animal every time we go there. We haven't had any problems. The staff is excellent.
