Description of Work: I called McClure Plumbing to determine whether there was a water leak under my slab foundation. The plumber who came to do the test was prompt, thorough and explained what he was doing and the result. Although McClure Plumbing could have come back for further tests to pinpoint the leak, the plumber suggested I notify my insurance company first. This suggestion actually saved me an additional expense.

The plumber was punctual dressed professional and made introduction. He asked for permission to enter my home and immediately put on shoe covers and ask for directions to the bathrooms. He explained the process to me and told me what to expect. He answered all my questions and was very courteous. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone seeking a plumbing company.

The company telephoned to schedule an appointment a few days after the foundation work was done. The time was scheduled for the next day within a 2-hour window from 11:30-1:30. The next day, about 90 minutes early, the technician, Jacob Morgan, phoned to ask if arrivng at 10:30, an hour early, was acceptable. He arrived on time, explained what would be involved and how he would proceed. He worked quickly and efficiently and was soon finished, He was very friendly, courteous, and personable and seemed to know exactly what he was doing. Happily for my budget, all testing showed the absence of leaks, holding the pressure as it should. A complete, written report of the test results were presented as proof of the plumbing's integrity.
Description of Work: Hydrostatic test of sewer pipes and static test of water supply pipes as a follow up to foundation repair work.

They were fabulous. The two times I have called them out they have been out quickly and the wife of the main founder does their office work and customer service and she is just too helpful and nice as she can be. I can't just think anything bad about them after all these years.
Description of Work: They come out every other month and then one time for an inspection. They come to make sure the bacteria level doesn't rise in the underground vent and that the water is completely clean and the water that gets back into the soil.

The plumber did a thorough test for leaks and water pressure both inside the house and on the sewer system, to confirm that everything was working properly after a foundation adjustment. He was quite thorough, and also explained a lot about both the testing and the type/state of plumbing in my house. (He also found the sewer clean-out in the front yard, which I didn't know the location of.) McClure arrived promptly, and did the work in reasonable time. Note that the test was paid for by the foundation people (I was not billed directly).
Description of Work: McClure did a 'hydrostatic sanitary sewer test and static potable water test report,' following a foundation adjustment.

All of the employees were professional and nice to deal with. They told us when they would be at our house and when they would return the next day. They made sure we understood what our options were (replacing all the sewer pipes throughout the house (all were cast iron and were rusting out or patching the ones that were broken). We got pricing before they started any work and the pricing seemed more reasonable than the original pricing we received from other companies. Even though they are located in Greenville, they do a lot of work in the Dallas area and their location did not seem to shorten the day's work. We would definitely use them again for our plumbing needs and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Located sewer leaks under foundation (had to drill inside house as well as outside of house), repaired leaks, replaced all concrete inside that had to be drilled out, replaced all dirt which was dug up on the outside of the house. Made sure all furniture was covered up when they were working inside.

Monday morning the excavation crew showed up as scheduled. I was initially concerned because Gabiel and his partner didn't speak much English. I had just had foundation work done and was concerned about being able to relay where the new foundation piers were, etc. I spoke with their boss, Oscar, over the phone and he gave me his number and apologized for not being able to be there in-person, but that his team were top notch in what they did. And they were. I couldn't understand them very well, but they understood me. They were careful to protect the lawn with plywood and put the excavated dirt there. By Monday noon they were done opening the access. Monday afternoon Danny McClure and assistant showed up. They were friendly and professional and addressed all of my concerns. They found the bad PVC connection and were just about done when my leaky shower seeped water down the pipe and ruined the PVC glue. Needless to say they were unhappy and considered staying to try the repair again but it was already pretty late. The pipe was repaired enough to use, but had the potential to still leak and Danny didn't like that. He promised to be back the next day to cut it out and fix it again. On Tuesday, Danny and team were back. This time they turned the incoming water off for a short time to make sure the leaky faucet didn't ruin their work. When they were done, Danny took a look at the faucet and fixed it right up for us! They waited most of the afternoon for the City Inspector, who found no problems and quickly signed off on their work. Wednesday morning Gabiel was back with a new partner. They back filled the tunnel and packed it in with a stamping tool as they went along. When finished, they moved the extra dirt to wherever I wanted. Bottom line, I was extremely anxious about having this work done. I called their office several times with what now seems like silly "NEWB" questions about what was going to happen and what about their insurance, etc. The woman I spoke with in the office, Michelle, answered all my questions and never made me feel stupid for asking dumb questions. Thank you Michelle! McClure Plumbing took very good care of me and were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.
Description of Work: McClure Plumbing repaired a broken sewer line under our foundation. They excavated beneath the foundation to reach the leak, repaired the line, performed a hydrostatic test to assure there were no other leaks, waited for the plumbing inspector to review their test and work then back-filled at the excavation site.

The crew identified 2 locations of sewer leaks under the foundation slab and provided an estimate to access the leaks through foundation opening and tunneling. The estimate was far better than other competitor's estimates which provided mostly hourly rates but no estimate of the amount of time required to complete the work as well as an expectation of at least twice as much. Once we contracted with McClure to do the work, they scheduled within the week and were able to get to us a couple of days early. The job initially was estimated to take 3 days to complete (including inspector sign off) however once the pipes were revealed, additional cracks and previous plumbing repairs (done wrong) were identified. Additional jackhammering was required to access the broken pipes which did require an additional charge but full sections of multiple joints and a new toilet stack were all added by the plumber with no additional cost from the initial estimate. We feel like we had 5 repairs done for the price of 2 and that the plumber did whatever was needed to make it right - not just to get it done and get out! The 3 crews were very professional. They were all very skilled in their trade, pleasant to have around (even for 5 days!) and the man who came back to fill the tunnels back was so careful and thorough with the packing that he was able to add more dirt than was removed initially! Could not have been more impressed! If only the foundation company packed their access holes that well! We will definitely use McClure plumbing for any future plumbing needs (and we expect to have many) because we feel they are very fair on pricing, reliable, do the job right and are pleasant and professional to work with.

We were not at all happy with the condition in which the provider left our home after the sewer pipe repair work they had undertaken. We were left with a very large unsecured area of wet concrete in the middle of our hallway, which we were told would take 2 days to dry. The newly concreted hole took up virtually the whole width of the hallway, all but about 4 inches on one side. The problem for us was that the crew were about to leave and asked for the remainder of the cost of the work, but had not secured the hole. So we had no means by which to move across the hole through the hallway whilst we waited 2 days for the concrete to dry. We told them we did not wish to pay the remaining half of what we owed for the work until they had secured the newly concreted hole, and provided a means by which we and our dog could cross it safely. I did not consider this an unreasonable request. Long story short, after much discussion with both the crew leader and the owner of the company - Mr. McClure, the crew eventually provided a piece of wooden board to put over the wet concrete, and my husband found a couple of planks of 2 x 4 to rest the board on, so we had a make-shift walkway across the hole. We also noticed that the nails from the exposed carpet gripper were left sticking straight up. A very big hazzard, particularly for our dog. I asked the crew leader if he would do something to make the exposed carpet gripper safe - maybe cover it at least, but he did not do so. So, we had to deal with that ourselves also. The last straw for me, was a large purple stain and splashes up the wall in the entrance hall after the work was completed. The stain is purple and is a rubbery material, and impossible to scrub out. When I pointed this out to the crew leader, I was told it was the plumbers' responsibility, and since he had left they couldn't be responsible for it. We paid the remaining half of the cost eventually, because it was late in the day and not only were we exhausted from arguing with them, but the guys who had been working in the heat without A/C all day needed to get home. I asked the crew leader if he was allowed to leave without receiving the remaining payment from us, and he told me he wasn't! I have rated the work an overall C because to the best of my knowledge, the repair to the septic pipe was carried out satisfactorily, which was the main thing, and I believe they did a good job with that. However, finishing up and securing the area afterward was extremely poor in my opinion, and I would rate that a D at best!!
Description of Work: We had a broken septic pipe under our bathtub. The provider - McClure Plumbing - jack-hammered through foundation of our home, and dug under the wall in the main hallway to the other side of the tub until the broken septic pipe was located. The pipe was then repaired, the dirt replaced and the hole re-barred and re-concreted.

Response from Mcclure Plumbing
At McClure Plumbing Company we strive for 100% customer satisfaction. We are never pleased to hear that a customer was not 100% satisfied and we do our best to go over and beyond to correct any issues that may have arrived during such an evasive slab repair. All terms and conditions are listed on our contracts for customers to read and approve by signature before any work is performed. Unfortunately after the repair work was completed the customer was unpleased with the repair process that was explained during an onsite estimate. We deeply apologized for any misunderstandings, and we believe we went over and beyond expectations to rectify the issue that the customer had.
