"This customer called for an emergency repair, due to the 49 days of drought ( no rain) the ground ended up moving the Post to be off level. Unfortunately we have no control over what the ground does. We had a contract that was agreed upon with a 30 day labor warranty. We had to modify the gate, weld the gate , troubleshoot and reprogram her gate opener after the warranty expired . This service call was an hour and a half away. We stopped another fence project to service this member , we charged A minimum amount for the work done. Customer assumed this service call was done free We spent gas and two technicians pay rate . Client asked why preventives measures weren’t taken. They were, we went 24 inches down for the post and even deeper for the gate post, WITH concrete. The ground moving was completely out of our control , had we known we would made extensive preventative measures that we would have charged due to the extra work for the terrain. We care for our customers, we value our customers experience, however we still need to be paid for the work we provide."

"Gate Opener and equipment was functioning satisfactory. It was a inspected, tested and accepted by member. Project was completed December 27. Member paid everything in full and was satisfied. Job was installed and functioning correctly. The member signed a contract to install a double gate with a Liftmaster machine opener, remotes and 1 keypad. As job was being performed he requested extra devices that were not part of the contract. 1 extra keypad and electric selenoide lock, which I didn't charge in order to please the customer. Member was advised to hire a licensed electrician, however he claimed it was too expensive, so member chose to do electrical work himself. 5 days later the equipment failed due to poor electrical installation, which caused the machine to malfunction. I showed up to reset everything without charging the customer. 65 days later, equipment was damaged because of power failure again. Lift master honored damaged parts but member refused to pay Labor: $275. His 30 day warranty was expired and voided due to poor power installation. Member tried to change passcode on keypads and didn’t know how to do it. After I explained what happened and mentioned the labor charges, member immediately began yelling and using profane language. Member also threatened me with inappropriate words. I stayed calm, and tried reasoning him willing to help him to solve the problem. However his attitude and disrespect was unacceptable. So I told member I was no longer able to help him or finish conversation so I hung up. I have the right to refuse service to anyone who is disrespectful and unprofessional. I will not be able to help him anymore because I was threatened, I and my team feel unsafe and uncomfortable working with member."
