PURCHASES AND ADVICE ARE PRIMARILY FOR FLOWERS AND SHRUBS. WIFE IS THE PRIMARY CUSTOMER BUT SHE AGREES WITH MY EVALUATIONS.  I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM CARRY MORE VEGGIES, BUT THEY HAVE TO COMPETE 
WITH LOCAL LARGE MERCHANTS.

The company was contacted to come out and take a look at the back yard and give an estimate. The company never sent out a person to look at the yard or returned our phone calls after the initial contact.

Mowed low, scraped ground with a front-loader, hauled away the weedy mess, sprayed with Roundup, let that work for a week, sprayed with Roundup again, let it work, spread gypsum to help topsoil work into the clay base, re-sodded the entire yard with Floritam, repaired in-ground sprinkler heads that were damaged in the preparation of the yard.
The job was delayed after the initial cleaning of the soil by the fact that the installer could not get high quality grass... he had to wait for the supplier to catch up with the demand.   Understandable.

They were awesome.  They explained the different trees and said they had a shipment coming in.  She told me how to take care of it and what to look for in a healthy tree.  I stopped back twice but they had problems with delivery.  Told me they would call when they got one and they did.

Jo Ann and her crew are terrific people.  Very knowledgeable and friendly.  A detailed bid was given and accepted.  Work began as scheduled.  I should point out that I also had a different company install an irrigation system.  Jo Ann made all the arrangements for
scheduling around her crew and the other company so that their separate jobs were done efficiently and on time.  This of course, took a few days to complete and her crew always cleaned up the sidewalks at the end of each work day so there was never a mess around the house.  I need to get a little more work done in other areas of my home and I will be contacting Jo Ann again when I am ready to do that.

The plants that I bought from Greens & Things Nursery & Landscape Company were in very good condition.  It?s not house plants; it?s the ones that are to be kept outside.  I would use them again in the future.

I am not happy with the work. They came and they were much quicker than I thought they should have been. About 3 weeks later weeds started appearing around the edges which was the reason I called them to begin with. It seems like they didn't clear them out well because they started popping up around the edges. Most of the things they planted had died and after digging around I found that they just dug a hole and put plants in there, they hadn't filled the holes so there were air pockets around them. They didn't do a good job of the matting under the mulch and they just did a sloppy job. Now I am exactly back where I was. I do have a couple of hibiscus that survived. I though the price was okay at the beginning, but now I think it is horrible. The person planning it seemed to know about plants and everything but maybe it was just bad supervision or something. I went to the nursery several times to tell them what was happened and they gave me suggestions of what to try. They offered to come by, but never did.

"Thank you for letting me respond to this complaint. I did the job for a different name, I had to look up all the jobs done in March and this was the only one I'm thinking it could be, by the complaints of the weeds. If this is the same customer she asked if our company could remove weeds that overcame one bed and we did go and spray 2 times, customer was not home, but did tell her what we did. If a plant is sick or distressed usually you can tell immediately and our policy is if the customer notifies us even if the 30 days passed. As far as replacing plants, we have a 30 day guarantee on plants, with no questions. We are currently replacing 16 plants for a customer, job was done 60 days ago, but customer notified us right a way and this is no fault of ours nor the plants were not sick this is a big problem of the irrigation system, apparently was set wrong and plants were not watered nearly enough, but our company is replacing them. If something was dying we would have replaced it when we went back and sprayed 30 days later and then 10 days after that. Also, weeds are not a quick fix, it must be taken care on a regular basis to beat the battle and that was told to the customer. We have been in business since 1984 and we have a great customer based relationship reputation. We always try to resolve any problems, but this was done more than 6 months ago. Thank you very much. Work went very well, except that leveling was done in the front yard instead of the back; however, they have been gradually bringing in sandy loan and leveling the back. I learned that I should have requested that the leveling be done before the irrigation system was put in. Trees look great and the flower beds, front patio, butterfly garden are super! The flortam grows great. The only problem I've had with the yard was a result of the persistent rains we had last fall and the yard got fungus patches. Joann Vasquez has had her crew apply treatments to it and yards have looked great since early spring. They came and replaced a few plants that had frozen and did not come back. The raised bed has been a definite plus, as I am doing some vegetable gardening. Joann is usually very prompt in contacting me. Any delays that have occurred in the work they have done for me has been caused by weather issues. She and her staff have been very helpful with any questions I have. I have also stopped quite often at the nursery in Portland and picked up flowers and vegetables to plant. They have a good variety of plants, pots, and ornamental items.

We hired them to do some unusual things for us regarding a new home. After they graded the property, they installed for us some stone walk ways and also made some trenches that they filled with rocks to promote drainage and also help the flow of storm water. They used landscape cloth carefully for us and did a nice job. At any time when we asked for something to be done in a different way, they cheerfully did it, and did not try to talk us out of our idea, or try to talk us into accepting the way they had done it. For example, they laid out the planks of rock on top of the gravel, which was their understanding on how we wanted it. But as soon as we pointed out to them that we wanted the rock planks embedded in soil and then have gravel laid around it, they complied, cheerfully. This was a breath of fresh air from other contractors and they tried to please us and worked hard. They were in communication with us, and if there was weather, they called us anyway, just to check in. I would recommend them any time.
