Signed agreement in May of 2020 and paid half of the cost of the job, $3,575.00. We didn't hear from him again for two months, I emailed him. He stated that there was an aluminum shortage and materials were slow to get. A week latter he stated that most of our materials came in but he was still working on another job. I asked if he could send a crew over to start prepping the area and remove the old screen. He said that he didn't have a crew and that he couldn't start our job. He then commented about the rain in the area. He later agreed to start the job on August 31st. Nope...he still had other jobs. He finally showed up with tools and some materials on September 16th. He then stated that the bushes and flowers around our pool needed to be cut further back. Long story short, Carlos and Jackie had nothing but excuses for not starting our job much less completing it. We fired them on November 21st 2020 and brought in N and V Patio Construction and Remodeling. They started on the 23rd of November. Do not use Advanced Aluminum! Keep looking for anybody else. They owe us $2,570.00 for services and materials not done and provided.

Carlos had installed a screened patio on a former home of mine that is on his website.  Beautiful job and everything was performed as promised.  This was another home in a different area of town and about ten years later.  In June, 2012 , I requested an estimate for covering my patio on a house I own in Fall Creek.  Carlos responded immediately with an estimate and an agreed design.  He also arranged to have a new concrete patio installed by another contractor (this work was done immediately and to my satisfaction).   He told me that he would expect the work to be complete in about a month.  He took all papers for the HOA approvals and made application for that process.  I do not know why the approval was late but unfortunately Carlos went on vacation and the HOA approval did not occur until mid-August.  Then I expected to work to commence shortly and was promised that it would.  However, much equipment appeared in my back yard, I got excuses about delivery of the parts and Carlos injuries, and my patio was not delivered in a semi-complete form until October 4.  I was approached for payment with the roof not completed (needed composite shingles according to the HOA specifications).  I was promised that the roof would be complete after a month of setting in.  I withheld 10% of the project estimate (about $700) and was told that Carlos would be back in about a month to complete the work.  Carlos has not been back.  My patio still does not comply with the HOA requirements and I am left with a roof job to complete.  Also, I was told that I would get a telephone number for an electrician to complete the electrical work for the fan and light in the patio (not contracted by Carlos) but I never received that information.  The patio is beautiful but the work is still incomplete.

I liked the work they did. He gave me several options on the design. He had good ideas. They did beautiful work. The only complaint I have is that after the work was completed I found a leak and I have had a hard time getting them to come back out. I may give him the benefit of the doubt because he has been sick.

The covering they put in is like a large overhead awning with slopes on the edges and small gutter tracks to drain rainwater properly. They did a great job installing the covering. It is very sturdy and adds a new look to the backyard where the pool and patio are located. The workmen were very well mannered and worked long hours to finish the day and a half job.
