Horrible! First off, he qouted the job at $6,500 and required $2,000 up front. I had no problem with this, and I put it in a contract. One week into the remodel he asked me for a $1,000 draw against his ending balance. I gave him the money. The same thing happened a week later, and I payed him then also. The following week I gave him $500 more. So I was into him for $4,500 of his $6,500. He then asked me for another $1,000. At this point I had to tell him no because there was still a whole lot of work to be done. At this point he still had none of the wood floor in, and still had a fair amount of tile work to be done. He got angry, and didn't show up (and ignored my many calls). After a week he showed back up with what appeared to be a great outlook on everything. I didn't want to bring up the past, so I left it alone. He got about 3/4 of the wood floor layed, and at first glance, it looked wonderful, until you walked on it. He didn't level my floor properly! There was a lot ofollow areas underneath my wood floor. With materials my home remodel was costing me $16,000. And for that kind of money I expect nothing less than perfect. When I confronted him about the levelling of the floor he became irate and quit. He left the job unfinished and I will be lucky if I can have it completed for what I had left owed to him. I will now be hiring a company by the name of Jecker floor and glass. I will update this when they finish the job. Seriously?!?! Who just walks off in the middle of the job and and leaves a client to pick up the peices. I am so angry.
Description of Work: Tito Rodriguez (Tile by Tito) is a small buisness that advertises to do anything from small tile jobs to full home remodels. On my remodel project he was to remove about 1,100 square feet of existing saltillo tile and replace it with bamboo wod flooring. In the kitchen, dinning, luandry and bathrooms he was to install ceramic tile. He also replaced some panelling with sheetrock (to include texturing and painting). He was also to sand and repaint cabinets. Lastly he was to do a major overhaul on my kichen counter, insalling new counter top and backsplash.
