We had seen cabinets built by Borunda for a local business. These were of good quality and he was vouched for by the business owner. Borunda told us that he knew flooring and could do that as well. The job stretched from November to May. We had to ultimately re-hire someone else to re-do the floors after having Borunda re-do them twice. (A friend said of the floors after Borunda had finished that the floors looked better before he worked on them.) Borunda did not sand properly and used a finish that flaked off in big patches. He didn't even open the pantry door when finishing the floors. The cabinets are a mess. The molding doesn't even touch in places, the drawer tracks are off, panels of wood separated. And Borunda did damage to the house. His "helper" placed his stained hands all over the breakfast room walls and trim, requiring a re-painting. Stain was all over the mop boards. He damaged our sheetrock, gouged the floors in taking out the cabinets, and tore our screen door. The cabinets were not level, causing the granite countertop to crack and therefore be replaced. The new sink was dinged during that replacement. Because he had been vouched for, we paid him ahead, and of course will never get our money out of him. This guy is a total scam. We learned a real lesson about the necessity to use a bonded businessman to do work.
Description of Work: Due to water damage, the kitchen cabinets were to be replaced and the hardwood floors have some boards replaced and all resanded and stained.
