Existing driveway gate was installed on time and worked fine, even though a quite noisy motor was supplied. But when I called for help with the carport-mounted gate opener, I could get no answer at the telephone number provided. All attempts to contact them have been fruitless. I have moved on

The technician was able to repair the sliding gate operator quickly. The service charge was expensive and he did not provide a receipt for the repair work despite my request for one.

The fence was professionaly done and looked very good. A little trouble with rain and other communications.

Very difficult. Rescheduled several times, took a long time to complete. I have some outstanding work that they still need to do, and said they needed to get paid to take care of bills, and even asked if we could give cash or go to their bank with our check, which we did. Now that it is time to finish the job and complete the repairs that are out of code with our HOA, they are avoiding my calls, send me to voice mail, do not answer text. Brandon is overwhelmed and can not keep up and makes promises that he can't keep. He has left his wife in a predicament where she is afraid to answer calls because she can no longer commit to work as she is afraid he will not be able to deliver. She has even changed her voicemail to redirect all calls to Brandon's voice mail so she does not have to deal with the problems. Brandon is overcommitted and can't keep his promises. I am in violation of my HOA, and they have sent me certified letters and are about to fine me. Brandon promised to come out and fix the fence to code, and has not. He also had a friend help with some of the initial work which is extremely flawed and Brandon promised to come back and repair, but now that he has to pay for the boards needed for the repair and has to use his time, he has put us to the back of the list. If you use them, do not pay until 100% complete, otherwise only pay 50% and the remainder upon complete satisfaction and never expect to see them back for repairs or promises.. or warranty work

I called Word Fenceworks on a Saturday and Branden came by in less than two hours. He was able to quickly get the gate working but noted that it was not working properly which could cause one of the motors to burn up over time. He came back the next day (Sunday) as promised and fixed the gate so it opened and closed properly. It was excellent work done quickly and professionally. I will always turn to Word Fenceworks for any work I need done on my fencing, electric gate or garage door.

My electronic gate will not close at night or on rainy days. I spoke with the owner who said we needed a new photo eye. He came to the house, not sure what he did bc I wasn't home but my husband paid him $75. Nightfall came and the gate still wouldn't close. I called and texted the company for days to please come back and fix the issue that I had hired them to fix .......they kept telling me that they would come back but never showed so basically I paid $75 and my gate still won't close. I called again and threatened to write a negative review if they did not come back. I received a call that someone would stop by. That was days ago; no one came and my gate still won't close. So I paid $75 for nothing :(.

Went very well. They even went out of there way and removed several tree stumps that were in there way and did not charge me extra for that work.

The Words were as good as their word! They replaced the motor with a newer model that won't put nearly as much stress on our gate posts. They also made some additional suggestions to improve future operations and repainted the 450-pound gate at the end of the job. They also made sure that all our remotes were reprogrammed to be compatible with the new gate. I'll have them back in the Spring to reset some fence posts and re-stain our back- and side-yard fence. Cannot praise their responsiveness and workmanship high enough.

The work went really well and I was very happy with them. They did a first class job.

Both Meg & Brandon were just like family and provided us with options that met our needs and budget. Initial lead-time was 1-2 weeks but all work was completed in a couples days of the first week. The fencing quality and construction were superior and the final product looks GREAT! I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a family owned business that provides outstanding customer service.

My electric gate opener stopes working after a power surge. Word FenceWorks made multiple trips to troubleshoot the issue and attempt to resolve it with fuses and other inexpensive fixes. Unfortunately (for us) our board was fried and ultimately needed to be repaired. Fortunately, Word was able to quickly able to locate a replacement board and get us up and working again. We could not be happier with the price, speed, and customer service we received. I know who I will be calling for any gate or fence repairs in the future!

Great! The first afternoon, the took down the old wood fence and wood fence posts, set the new metal posts in concrete, and hauled away the old wood fence parts. The second day they build and stained the new wood fence and gate into the back yard. It's well built and looks great!

Knowing the company I use to repair the electronics of my driveway gate does not handle construction/repairs of the physical gates, I searched Angie's List for a reputable company to repair the damage done by what I am sure was a small tornado that hit my neighborhood in north Frisco on the morning of March 8, 2016. After searching through a number of companies, something seemed right about Word Fenceworks and I called them, despite the somewhat mixed reviews. I read nearly all the negative reviews and it seemed most of the problems mentioned could easily be attributed to the pains and struggles of starting a new business while trying to raise two small children. Knowing how difficult it is to work from home, especially when the kiddos are younger and need more direct parental supervision and wanting to help a military veteran keep his business going, I decided to give them first crack at it.

My original call was on Monday, the 14th and Branden did not come out to do the estimate until Thursday, the 17th. In their defense, I did tell them I wasn't in a big hurry and that it was likely going to be fairly small, quick, and easy job, so, overall, I am satisfied with the final response time. The one complaint--I had asked to be called when they were on their way and they did not do so on the 17th.

My first encounter with Branden convinced me I had selected the right company. He clearly knew what he was talking about, gave me a fair price to make the repairs, and is one of the few contractors that you know from the first conversation he is a good, honest man who is going to treat you right.

The rain kept Branden from coming out to do the repairs until Monday, the 21st (electricity and water do not mix well). I had asked them to call me when they were on their way and, this time, they did so. I was not feeling well that day, and Branden and his co-worker (whose name I don't recall) were very respectful of my condition (I would end up needing emergency surgery that Thursday). When the work was completed they called me outside to take a look and it was immediately and abundantly clear that, despite the small size of the job, Branden and his staff take great pride in doing the job right.

I have a couple of other gate/fence jobs which I need to get done once I get past all this medical stuff and I will not hesitate to contact Meg and Branden again. I was very pleased with their friendliness and the quality of their work and the price was very fair. The fact that doing business with Word Fenceworks helps a veteran support his young family is icing on the cake.

They replaced a gate motor on my swinging driveway gate that had been stolen. In addition to replacing the motor they also adjusted the gate so it closed properly which it had never done before. They also installed locks on the motors to prevent them from being stolen in the future. They did all of these extra things without me asking them to. You can't beat quality work performed quick and for a fair price. They were also friendly and professional. It is clear that they take pride in their work and only know one way to do things, the right way.

Word Fenceworks is one of best small businesses I have ever worked with. Meg and Branden Word exemplify and maintained high integrity throughout the entire process. You don't feel like a customer, but like family. I cannot say enough about them! The quality of the work is exceptional.

The fence is beautiful! We are very happy with the quality of work. The electric gate has been a bit finicky, but it seems Branden has figured out and solved the problem. One of the parts on the opener was defective,and after repairing it a couple of times he came out, and replaced the part. Seems to have done the trick. Branden and Meg are a hard-working couple. Branden is also an accomplished welder, and constructed the metal frame for the big gate himself onsite. We will likely hire him again in the future for other projects.

These people are the nicest, most down to earth and honest folks I've ever had the pleasure of working with. After another company screwed up my wiring and caused 2 receivers to burn out, essentially costing me about 125.00 in addition to what I just paid Word FenceWorks, I've learned my lesson and no one but Branden will EVER touch my gate again!!! His wife Meagan treats you like she's known you for years from the first time you talk to her. She's an absolute doll! His Brother Dustin is friendly and has a calming effect. They know what they are doing and will do everything they can to ensure you are not paying for unnecessary repairs. Since I have an older opener and Branden (now also known affectionately as Mr Thrifty) recycles equipment in working order when a customer requests a technological upgrade, he saved me the expense of a third receiver. If you want the best of the best where customer satisfaction is concerned and someone that knows gate openers backwards and forwards, these are your folks!!!!

Put in new fence posts. Made sensible recommendations and identified problem areas. Their work has held up nicely after some big storms and high winds. Courteous service. Would use again.
