Description of Work: We have had a few different piano tuners back in California. We moved my baby grand out here and it had not been tuned it in few years. It was in desperate need of a good tuning. Ty Ramsey tuned it (with my dogs barking and baby crying) and did a remarkable job! I highly recommend him! I felt extremely comfortable with him coming into our home and will be having him back again. He has tuned it twice so far.

Description of Work: Ty checked out our piano and determined that it needed to be rebuilt as the strings kept breaking from exposure to too much humidity by being in our lake house for many years. He recommended a company that could do that. he didn't even charge for the visit and instead treated us to a voice recital with his outstanding voice. We have since had the piano rebuilt and plan to call Ty for the next tuning.

Description of Work: Ty appraised my piano. Ty sent a reminder email the day before the appointment and arrived right on time. He shared lots of very interesting information about the history of pianos. I received a very nice certificate for the appraisal. I would highly recommend Ty to my friends.

 + -1 moreI am a piano teacher in the Plano area, and Mr. Ramsey has been tuning my piano for awhile. I currently have a very old piano that has grown increasingly problematic. He has always been very adept at dealing with this piano. Because of it's age, it is very high maintenance and challenging to deal with. At my most recent tuning, he told me about a Kawai Baby Grand he recently acquired. He immediately thought of me, and I am going to see it tomorrow! He is a great piano tuner, and I recommend him to all of my piano students. If you need a piano tuner/repair technician, he's the best!!!!!!!

Mr. Ramsey was very quick to respond to my inquiry and he came to our home to look at the piano. He was very prompt. He immediately recognized that the piano would require a lot of work and gave an estimate. He was honest and did not try to talk me into the repairs. We were able to make a quick decision based on his knowledge. Thank you.

He did not seem to oversell unnecessary services, and provided different options as necessary. The brand of piano is no longer made, and he was very helpful in providing recommendations and tips on how to care for. and move. the piano.

Stands behind his work, one or two things needed adjustment a few weeks later, and he came back no charge and addressed these items. Would recommend.
