Total Air & Heat Co

Came out to give me a comparative estimate and was about $2500 cheaper than other quotes.   Same unit was quoted.    Came out on a Saturday and the unit was completely installed by Tuesday.  Showed up on time.   Had to use a crane to get unit on roof.   AC is working great and follow up from David Larson has been excellent. 

Service technician was great. He didn't pressure me to buy a new system, even though we will need one soon.

I have 3 systems in my home and they cleaned all 3.  There were no issues at all.  They arrived on time for the appointment and performed the task as requested.  They did have to add some Freon so it added a little bit of cost but it was reasonable.

From sales consultation I knew I was dealing with an honest company who understood all my needs. They offered quality products at a reasonable price. The whole process from sales consultation to installation was very professional, and on time. I am planning on using their services again in the future.

He was very professional.  I had used Total Air and Heat before but their price for fall and spring was about %150.  I really appreciated the price.

I purchased a big deal for Total Air Conditioning & Heating. I spent more than what I paid for in the big deal purchase. I only bought one big deal and I should have bought two because we have two units. I didn't think about that. They said that was a common mistake people make. Maybe if I did that again and they could put something there per unit. I purchased the second one not with the lower price. We paid for that.

They were good. Everything went fine with them. The thing is they still have not done the other house. It is scheduled on the 10th so I would not have a complete opinion yet.

I called them because they specialize in Trane, which we have. Great service tech. Polite and efficient. After discovering some bad parts, he tried to look up my warranty with Trane & we discovered that it  was with another HVAC service company, not with the mfr. [TIP:  read your warranty info carefully to understand it and store it in a safe place to find before making the call to the service provider.] He gracefully wrapped up his labor so as to not charge me any more to search for a freon leak in one unit. Not a cheap mistake on my part, but I highly recommend them if you want a Trane system or need service.

The service with Total Air Conditioning & Heating was fine. Then I tried to pay for a year so that they would be proactive and contact me because I like it that way. They were like, we'll just refund you the $49. I'm like, if you refund me the $49 it's like I'm paying full price for the first one. They go, okay I get it. Then they sent me a check so they have a little smarts issue going on. I think at this point I will send them their $49 check back and ask them to send me the $180 for the next two services and I'll try somebody else. I liked the guy who came to my house. He seemed to take his time and do a lot of things but the office people just could not get it through there head what I was trying to do. Technically I didn't get a deal because I got the $49 back. It totally defeats the purpose because I'm trying to simplify things in my life.

The technician arrived on time; he took care of each of the system's needs; and he showed me each of the system's problems. He offered to install a filter, but he warned me that his filter would be twice as expensive as Lowes or Home Depot. He left duct tape so that I could seal the filter doors after I installed the filter, and he didn't even charge me for the small amount of freon he added.

Good service.  He was on time, wore booties in the house-which is always appreciated.  Replaced a part in our unit and told us why it possibly went out to prevent in the future.  Would call them again for service.

Their employees are always nice and I've never had a bad experience with them.

He arrived on time and was very professional.  The outside unit was checked and cleaned.  Then he went into the attic to check that unit.  When completed is work, he told me of the condition of my system.  Also, he made some suggestion on the upkeep of my system and left.

The Technician arrived on time and was extremely knowledgable and very professional.  I have white carpet and from time to time service people that have come to the house don't use protective footwear this company does, I really like that.  He was extremely thorough and explained everything he did and the results.  I have a couple of items that can be addressed later, he didn't pressure me to get anything done that day but did let me know that the air conditioner is aging and can use a couple of items to keep it running well.  He did quote prices for the items indicated and I felt that they were very reasonable.  If I have airconditioning needs in the future I do intend to call them back.

Overall it was a great experience. There was no hard sell and he was very open and honest.

The service went very well.  In addition to performing the above services, he diagnosed why the outside unit wouldn't power on by running a wire from it to the thermostat to verify the existing wire had been cut or chewed through (no additional cost).  He provided a quote to run a new wire which I declined.

The service representative arrived on time and inspected our A/C.  He found a problem with the A/C marginal capacitor and explained in detail what we can expect.  We decided to have him perform the repairs and he completed it while he was here.
He was very professional and did a fantastic job.  We will be using their services in the future.

Salesperson clearly communicated a solution that addressed my needs. Crew arrived 15 minutes early and completed work in one day. Crew is professional, experienced and efficient. Salesperson made follow-up visit. Salesperson and crew answered all my questions. I have had no problems with product or installation. I recommend this company.

get my a/c etc checked every spring. Total air had a special for $49 and I took advantage of it. My A/c unit is 32 years old and still running pretty well. The tech came out at the correct time and explained everything he was going to do. I couldn't believe all he did etc. he explained a great deal more then anyone I had out prior and did a more complete job then any company i had prior..He checked everything including things that prior techs never checked before. 
Because he did so well. I am having a sales rep look at what it would take to go to a new unit. I figure the cost of electricity savings could well make it worth while with a more up to date unit.

It went great.  Excellent professional service and very punctual.

Incredible job overall.  I have had the pleasure of working twice with Total's representative Josh McKenney.  The first was back in the summer of 2010 when we called on Total to fix a 14 year old Carrier A/C unit that was original to the house.  Josh spent about 2 hours evaluating our two systems and gave us three separate proposals to fit our budget.  We opted to go with a simpler fix by just replacing a capacitor.
Flash forward to June 2012 when the unit died for good.  We called Josh in again after getting two proposals from other highly rated Angie's List HVAC providers.  Again Josh gave us three options.  He also recommended important repairs to corrected the horrible duct work put in by the sub-contractor when we built our home in 1996.  To make things even better, Josh told us about a zero-financing special available through Home Depot.
The install went with just one hitch.  There was a manufacturer's defect in the first A/C unit.  This was swapped out and the system was up and running by the end of the day.  The technicians were experienced, professional, and cleaned up wherever they might have made a mess.  We opted to go with a moderately priced Trane 14 Seer System.  I delayed my review because I wanted to test both the A/C and Heating units.  After nearly nine months they have operated flawlessly and I have definitely noticed a reduction in both my electric and gas bills.
Our second heating unit is due for replacement and we will definitely call on Total Air and Heat to perform the work.

The master bedroom and bath have always been colder in the Winter and hotter in the Summer than the rest of the house. I have lived with condition this since 1987 and finally decided to see if it could be improved. Total Air had an “A” rating on Angie’s List and also came highly recommended by our next door neighbor, so we called them. 
Chad came out on Friday, 1/18, and determine there was not enough air flow into the bedroom. After examining the duct system in the attic he determined that part of the reason was that the duct supplying the master bed & bath was split into two smaller ducts at a "Y", with one going to the bedroom and the other to the bath. He suggested that individual runs should be installed, with a 9" duct going to the bedroom and a smaller (7" I think) to the bathroom. He also indicated that dampers would be installed into three ducts so we would be able to adjust the air flow as needed.
He said he couldn’t guarantee that this would entirely fix the problem but it would be an improvement to what we now have. He was able to schedule the installation on Monday, 1/21, at 8:30AM.
On Monday the installers arrived right on time. (Unfortunately I have forgotten their names.) Both were pleasant and professional and they gave me the feeling that they know what they’re doing. We went to the attic and they explained in detail exactly what they were going to do. The floor was covered from the front door, up the stairs and to the ladder entry to the attic to protect the carpeting. Work was completed in about 1 1/2 hours. They had me accompany them into the attic to examine the installation and so they could explain to me how to adjust the dampers.
During the next two days I experienced more air flow into the bedroom than ever before, to the point that some of the air flow had to be close off! I had some trouble moving the damper so I called Total Air and explained the problem I was having. I expected that they would be here in one or two days, but they scheduled someone the same day. The tech arrived in 2 hours and fixed the problem. 
They did a great job, from identifying the problem to fixing it. Can’t wait to experience a much cooler bedroom this Summer! 
The price was well worth the results.
