The Huffines Dealership Group
About us
On May 5, 1924 Huffines Motor Company opened for business in downtown Denton. J.L. Huffines, Sr. founded the company on two principles which are still the benchmark for all decisions made at the dealerships – treat the customer the way they want to be treated and support the community. Mr. Huffines always believed that when he helped someone buy a car, he had made a friend. Passed from father to son, to grandson, Mr. Huffines' philosophy has formed the solid foundation on which our dealerships are grounded, small town friendliness and a strong commitment to please each and every customer. Through all of this, Huffines had been satisfying customers – many who still shop at Huffines today. The fact that we have grandchildren and great grandchildren of original customers still shopping at Huffines 88 years later certainly proves the success of their commitment to customer satisfaction. Today, we have grown to eight auto dealerships in Plano, Denton, Lewisville, and McKinney and have over 800 team members to better serve all of your automotive needs.

"Thank you for reviewing your experience with us. We take every review seriously and continue to make improvements by the feedback we receive."
The Salesman told my wife one price and when I got there, it was $2,00 higher. Got to the dealership to buy the car with my Daughter, and they low-balled the offer on her trade-in by $1,000-$1,500, but it was my Daughter's first new Car (and the second new car we had purchased from this Dealership and Salesman in the past six months), so I didn't want to make a scene. I questioned the low price, but there was no attempt to make me happy. I called the next day to register my dissatisfaction, as did my Wife the day of the sale, and she heard nothing back. I talked with the Salesman directly (Steven Lewis, never use him), and he promised to speak with his Manager and call be "right back." That was eight hours ago. UPDATE: Salesman called back and said that "his bosses wondered why I agreed to the deal?" He said that they would do nothing for me. Be very careful when you deal with these people.
In the past, my dealership experiences with other dealerships (particularly Park Place Volvo in Fort Worth) have been good, even when I was just picking up a fleet vehicle for my job. Huffines has absolutely no interest in repeat business in my opinion, which is VERY short-sighted. I will NEVER return to buy another Car there, and will be sure to tell my friends to avoid them. Mr. Huffines owns many dealerships, so I am sure that customer service, is something that he couldn't care less about. By the way, I paid CASH for the Car.
The bill went from not more than $575, to almost $2K with the above mentioned problem.
Now this is where I have a bit of a problem. The dealership wanted to replace my brake pads and discs all the way around. They said my pad thickness is at about 10/32 of an inch. I still have quite a bit of brake life there. Also as far as replacing the rotors. They told me they were heavily corroded, and that turning them would most likely leave them pitted. I haven't driven the car at all in the last two months, so with all the rain we have had of course there is going to be some rust on them.
My experience there was I felt like the dealership was trying to sell me things right now that could have been identified as "keep an eye on this", or how about you bring it back in 3 months and let us see where we are on that. It seemed that I had to interrogate the service tech to figure out what I needed now and what could wait.

Removed dash twice for minor repairs, excess of $1,000 each incident. Multiple brake repairs, A/C replacement (no 2nd opinion), Window regulators replaced $500+, (Parts can be purchased for sub $75), and MUCH more ..... always excessively priced, no exceptions. Avoid like the plague!!! They will separate you from your bank account, very effectively! No conscience! Believe every horror story you have heard about DEALERSHIPS, HUFFINES IS ONE!
WISH WE HAD DISCOVERED HUFFINES' GAMES MUCH EARLIER ... WE WOULD HAVE SAVED A SMALL FORTUNE USING A RELIABLE INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP!
"Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Huffines Automotive dealership. I know your comments were based on your experience from almost 5 years ago, but we certainly take every review or testimony seriously and look into each case. Your experience is not typical to how we treat our customers; however, it is your experience and we value your opinion. We will use your words to continue to improve our business at each of our locations, and I thank you for helping us do this."
"Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Brian O'Connor, Jon Curfman and the Huffines Automotive Team. We appreciate your kind words."
drove 3 1/2 hours after giving my sales rep all the info asked for and financing pre-approved by my bank. After arriving to get the car the dealer said they forgot to ask me for something and wouldn't let me take the car. Had me sitting for over an hour "trying to get something worked out" jus to find out they were running my credit through different banks when I was already approved and ready with my local bank.
After my patience ran out I asked to speak to the manager. Waited 20 minutes being told it would be just a little longer I went to the bathroom and saw the manager watching a soccer game on tv.
Dealership asked me to go home and come back again tomorrow. Was livid at this point and told them if they wanted this sale then they will have to deliver it to my work. Only stuck with sale cause it was the only one in the particular color I wanted within 500 miles.
Two days later car was delivered to my work and they didn't fill the tank like I was told and didn't even give me the keys. Left the keys with a coworker I never even seen the delivery guy.
Within less than 3 weeks of owning the car. My hood started "bouncing" when driving over 60 and my back bumper started popping out of place. Took the car to my local dealer to look at where the service manager showed me where he estimated 75% of the car had been taken apart and repainted. Called the huffing dealership where I purchased it and was told "sorry sir we have no way of knowing that you didn't have the work done yourself due to an occurrence while you've owned the car"
Dealership left me with a "hyundai certified" inspected and tested used car that was falling apart at less than 20k miles.
Worst experience ever and I will never think of doing business here again nor recommend anyone else do business with
- Worked out well, still driving the Durango.
