Texas Best Stain

Overall, the project looks good. Where they missed the mark was in relationship to the cleanup. I asked them to come out and pick the remaining concrete and dirt left over from the project. Responded that it wouldn't be until the following week. If I would have waited that long, my grass where the concrete and dirt was left behind would have killed it. In addition, the crew left dirt piled up against my A/C unit where it had leaked into it. Overall, it took me only an hour and three large buckets of dirt and concrete to clean up, but it seems that this should have been part of their efforts. Spoke with Alex and was disappointed in his lack of response / urgency in getting the issue resolved.

I think it was sub-contractors that they sent out who were polite and professional but just did an okay job. Overall the fence looks good, but they did not stain the top of the fence all the way around. The part of the fence I could see from upstairs is stained, but the side that I can't see doesn't look like it was touched. We told him 3 times to make sure that the top of the fence was stained. I also had to have them touch up 4 or 5 places on the face of the fence that weren't properly covered on the first go round that they were going to leave incomplete. There is also a rock in the deep end of our pool from them dropping it while uncovering the pool. The icing on the cake is the sign that they nailed into our fence with nails were way too long and protrude on the inside of the fence. We didn't want to stain the fence ourselves, but now we either have to see if they can come back out to finish the job, do it ourselves or hire another company to complete their work. In the future, I will be using someone else.

Thankful for our GC (Crest Exteriors) who connected us with Texas Best Stain when the storms did a number on our fence. Kyle Jamieson, project manager, executed everything from beginning to end flawlessly. He stayed in touch throughout the process from insurance assessments to post project completion. Davith headed the fencing crew. He was incredibly personable and went the extra mile to be sure I approved of the correct color, insured my gates swung better than they ever have and every detail was considered. I was really impressed with the care taken to not spread stain beyond where it belonged (covering and protecting EVERYTHING). When we realized my neighbor was out of town for the holiday weekend and her son's truck was parked in a nearby driveway - Davith covered the truck to protect it from any potential spray. Thankful for this family run business. The care taken by both Kyle Jamieson and Davith was like they were helping one of their own. Highly recommend these gentlemen and Texas Best Stain.

Raymond did the work and was equally professional, worked through some challenges that arose and the quality of work was superb! First of all — I did my research. And there’s a reason why this company is called Texas BEST Stain. The after result for proof is that you should see my fence now that it has had its make-over! The team that came out did everything with such care and precision. Usually you see the truck that comes is completely trashed and gear just tossed into the back. Not this company. One of their team members had no clue I was watching him as he carefully prepped his tools and put them away as if he was a brain surgeon prepping his tools for surgery. They were beyond nice. They also made sure to answer any questions I had. So many times crews can come to your house and you have to pick up after them. Not this company. Thank you so so much Texas Best Stain! Not only was the workmanship fantastic, but so was your price-point.

We called to have an estimate on replacing a side fence and gates. A very friendly young man named Chris came out and he was respectful and professional. We like their warranty and the idea of pre-stained fencing, and we can't wait for them to get started!

NOT QUIT AS PERFECT AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED, BUT OVERALL A GOOD FENCE.

Texas Best Stain did a great job on our fence replacement. We were able to adjust what we originally asked them to do without problems and their crew was a pleasure to have working in our backyard. They confirmed what we expected the work to be, cleaned up the site and removed the old fence materials without issue.

Fantastic. I've used this company before and they showed up on time. They gave you estimation before the work. They were very professional and courteous. This company was wonderful.

My results were kind of disappointing. I have a seven year old cedar fence that had never been stained before and it was starting to show its age and was gray and moldy in places. From researching the water-based stains, it looked like a water-based stain would last longer than an oil-based stain, so I picked the Behr fence and deck stain (in chocolate brown). The day before the stain was applied, a guy came by and pressure-cleaned and washed my fence. I got home right after he had left but there was dirt and mud all along the very bottom of the fence (on the 2" x 6" boards), so I had to get my water hose and rinse all of that dirt off, otherwise the paint would not stick to the dirt. The next day he applied the paint (no complaints there) but since then, the paint has been flaking off here and there. If I bump the fence with my rake handle or where squirrels are climbing up the fence or just anywhere you touch the fence, the paint flakes off. I talked to a guy in the Home Depot paint dept. and he said that I really should have lightly sanded the fence before applying the stain because he said the wood fibers stand up over time and if you don’t sand them off first, the paint doesn’t stick as well as it should but he admitted that very few people are going to sand the fence. He also thought that turning up the pressure washer to a higher setting might remove the wood fibers, where the paint would stick better. Anyway, I don't think the pressure cleaning and washing was done correctly. I know that for sure because there was dirt all along the bottom of the fence that should have been rinsed off but wasn't. I don't think the pressure washer was turned up high enough but I have no way of proving that.
