Strong Fence and Deck

John was the sales rep that showed up and he was on time.  He was the only salesman that gave me a quote within a day.  Pricing was very competitive and John was very nice.  They originally told us it would be 2-3 weeks before they could start, but we asked to move that up since our fence was completely blown down by a storm.  He managed to get us in within a week, but it happened that they started on a day that we were leaving town.  
The crew showed up about 2 hours before we left and I am glad I was still there.  They originally dug the holes 29 inches deep.  City code said that anything over 7 ft had to have 36 inch footing.  I called and complained to the site manager (who wasn't on site), the sales rep and the company office.  Site manager tried to tell me I was wrong about the city code so I had to call and verify with code enforcement.  Once I did that, their whole attitude changed because they knew if they didn't do it right they wouldn't be able to pull permits until they fixed it.  
After I left town, they managed to blow the circuit for my outside electrical.  I had to have neighbors flip the breaker for them 3 times so not sure what they had going that kept blowing the breaker but was told that they have 4-5 things plugged into a singe power strip.  But they worked with me while I found somebody to flip the breakers so they could continue to work.  They even came back out the next day which was July 4th to finish the job.  
All said though, we came home to a beautiful fence.  I did a walk through with the site manager and double checked a lot of the work and it was all perfect.  Besides the issue with post hole depth that they did fix, there were no issues with this company.  Paid exactly what was on the quote and will use them in the future to expand my fence.

We worked with Rod and his crew led by Daniel. We were very happy with the professionalism of Rod. Starting with the initial estimate, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. The price was competitive and the quality of wood superb. We went with an 8 ft board on board privacy fence. The finished product is sturdy and secure. Daniel and his crew were efficient and pleasant to have here. There was one day that they did not show (or call) due to an issue at the wood factory which resulted in our B rating for punctuality. We have not yet needed to use them for any followup issues so can't commit to that as of yet. Overall, we would recommend Texas Strong Fence to anyone in the DFW area looking for a great fence to secure their home.

The estimate was provided by Rod Johnson, one of their sales reps.  He was prompt, courteous and professional.  
We looked at several other estimates that were comparable, but decided to choose Texas Strong Fence, due to their professionalism during the sales process and their policy to not accept any payments at all until the work was complete.  The next best estimate, which was a few hundred dollars cheaper, was from a handyman that seemed "ok", but had mediocre references and demanded payment of 50% up front.  We have been burned in the past by similar individuals, and decided not to risk a chance with a solo individual, and instead to go with a reputable company.
Communication was very good at each step of the way.  The workers showed up on time and completed the project on schedule.  There was always a crew chief on site that spoke English.  At several critical steps along the way, we were invited to inspect the progress and make design choices.  The work was high quality and exceeded our expectations.

I had called them to make repairs to the fence, and it took them a month to return my phone calls. When I would make contact with someone, they would just tell me that someone would call me back in a few minutes, and I never would hear back. We had a cedar post that had a ten-inch crack in it. They really wanted to sell us the fence so that they could put a sign on it because we have a lot of traffic. I sent emails and phone calls. They were on time to sell and install the fence.

Strong's crew were very professional and respectful.  The heat was brutal this time of the year.  The crew worked extremely hard out in the heat for me and I apprectiated their effort.  The salesman who came over was also very polite and helpful, I had a nice experience with him as well.  Furthermore I am even more pleased with the finished fence.  I've got the best looking fence in the neighborhood now!  I would highly reccomend their service to anyone looking to have a fence or deck built.

Overall the experience was as should be expected. I got several quotes and this was a very reasonable price. Especially considering the fence comes basically stained. Salesman was professional. My experience with quotes is that every contractor tries to set themselves apart by pointing out something they do that others do not. It can be confusing since you don't really know if what they are telling you is that big of a deal or not. The main thing with Strong Fence was they dip their boards with stain and they space their post 4 ft 9 inches apart. Other quotes I got spaced their post at least 5ft 9 inches which, to me, was significant. They supposedly get good prices because they are owned by the wood mill. Their quote was in line with other quotes I got.

Worst nightmare you could imagine. BBB non member F+ rating... Communications non existent as there is only one person who does everything short of labor. Only concern was getting a signed contract regardless of what you want. The contract changed 10 times and price changed more with bait and switch. After signing contract you will need to call the one man show on his cell phone for weeks until you reach them to get a date and when they come the two barely competent " highly skilled" workers will destroy your property ripping out the old fence and the quality of wood and workmanship is below anything I have seen. My fence fell apart the next day with boards cracked and gates wont open or close and they never answered emails or calls again to fix it as promised if we were ever unhappy. We required a lawyer to begin litigation..
