Everything went well. Shelby and his team were great. We had two roofs completed and both look wonderful. Would hire again and have recommended him to others.

The entire process has been handled with professionalism and a personal engagement with Shelby. We asked for a completely turnkey installation of the roof and gutters. Once the gutters where removed, we realized that we needed to paint the trim and the Storm Shield was able to dispatch a team, that actually recommended a color change that turned out awesome, to do the job within a few days and kept our project on track and on time. We had one weather related delay, which was communicated quickly and clearly. We recommend Storm Shield to all of our friends and neighbors.

He finished it immediately and cleaned up after themselves. He also came by and check if he did it right and if I was satisfied. I wish all contractors in other areas are as sufficient and professional as they are.

Storm Shield Restoration did an excellent job from beginning to end. From meeting with my insurance adjuster, helped me choose a quality shingle in a color that best complimented my house, monitored the roofing crew’s work and left my place clean and intact. Andre McGee with storm shield oversaw replacing three roofs on my rent house. Roof one was the main dwelling. Roof two was a barn roof shed. And roof three was a manufactured panel 32X16 sun room roof. All went like clockwork with roof 1 and 2 done by afternoon on a single day. The sunroom panels had to be ordered but it looks beautiful! All this after the inspector sent out by the insurance company was going to do a few repairs on the dwelling only. Andre was good enough to make a secondary inspection and send off photos to my insurance co and they paid for the entire job. This was not my first experience with Andre and Shelby. They got my roof on my residence done right a year ago. I was very skeptical having delt with fly by night roofing incorporated and been burned. After that experience and been treated right by these guys I knew who to call. Excellent work with integrity!

My experiance with Kayne Builders was very good. They did everything that they said they were going to do and then some. They answered  the phone or returned our call within a reasonable time every time. Not only that but received constant updates from Shelby and staff atleast 2 to 3 times a week. My roof looks amazing I recieve complaments on it! My roof. My neighbor across the street have expressed regret and dissapointment in not choosing my roofing contractor. Once we got through the entire process I fully understand the Warranty stipulations and i Have a common knowledge of the roofing process. He was  never rushed. He was very informative and expressed the information  I needed in a way that was easy for me to understand. I would say that the entire process from the date the storm happened to the time that work was completed and final payment was made covered about 6 weeks. we got to know Shelby pretty well through that process and with out a doubt We know that we made the right choice. One problem that happened wast the supply companydelivered materials and the fork lift had some type oil leak and it got all over thedriveway and the street. Shelby responded quickly and was at my house almost immediatly. He got a preassure washer and cleaned not just my driveway but all down the street also. It was obviously not his fault but he handled the situation quickly and correctly. He does not know this yet but he is going to be enclosing my patio and building me my little paradise. I cant wait! Overall was a great experiance!

In the summer of 2012 we had hail, didn't know about it. Kayne builders had contacted us on the phone - kind, no pressure, that they do free roof checks in our area.
We had them come to inspect the roof. It was clear that the roof was damaged enough to replace it.
Shelby took the time to explain to us the procedure of the claim, did the initial contacting of the insurance.
As soon as the checks from the insurance were in, the workers were out in full force and managed to remove the old roof, and cover the house plus a shed within the same day. They worked efficiently and well, cleaned up carefully.
We have a beautiful new roof. We were sure glad they did all this before the heavy rains and snow that followed less than a week after the completion of the roof.

In our selection process we interviewed several roofing companies and selected Kayne Builders Inc. Our choice was made based on the fact that although similar and sometimes the same product was offered, we had more respect for Shelby Byrd. He made statements that were reliable and stayed on schedule. If there was a delay we were informed ahead of time. From start to finish every step of the way, no problems. We had a hail storm on June 13th that totaled our roof. We contacted the insurance company but they never sent an adjuster to look at it due to the large number of claims in the area at the same time. They were just going to send us a check for the roof damage. As usual, we were contacted by a large number of companies who wanted to work on our roof. I actually met with one company but didn't feel that he was interested in doing quality work--just in getting the job done for the least amount of money.
Kayne Builders was recommended to me by my neighbor who was very happy with their prompt and experienced response. Shelby Byrd from Kayne Builders came and viewed the damage to our house and was the only person to notice that our siding had also been damaged by the hail. (The siding is on the second story and the damage is not easy to see, except to an experienced eye.) He also found hail damage on our garage doors and on a small storage shed located in our back yard that I never even thought about.
Shelby dealt directly with the insurance company, trying to get them to correct the initial damage report that included only the roof. He was forced to expend a great deal of time and effort  to get them to pay a fair and equitable price for everything that was damaged. The insurance company tried to underpay for materials and labor but Shelby forced them to raise their estimate by showing them they had already paid the amount he proposed  to other policy holders in this area he had done work for. I'm really grateful for his persistence because we would have had to make up the difference out of our pocket.
The siding crew managed to match our existing siding even though our original siding was no longer being made. They even redid the siding on our small front porch. The garage door and door surrounds also had to be replaced and look MUCH better.
 
While examining our roof, Shelby found that part of the roof was not vented correctly and installed a ridge vent to correct this problem. He also had his people add insulation blown-in insulation in our attic to raise the "R" value and increase energy efficiency.  Our roof was replaced by higher quality materials than what the builder used. The roof comes with a 30 year warranty and Shelby warranties the labor. Shelby recommended the roof color and was right about that, too!
In addition, we have a flat back porch roof that was built incorrectly and leaked badly every time it rained. Shelby and his crew worked to correct the slope and replaced parts of the porch roof that had been damaged by the leaks. Some of this work was covered by insurance and some was not, but Shelby told us up front how much the additional work would cost. They also repaired the small storage shed in our yard and painted both the shed and the back porch so that they look as good as new. We recently had our first rain and the porch roof passed with flying colors!
Shelby and all his people were professional, prompt, and efficient. The work was done to the highest standards and Shelby kept us in the loop when it looked like nothing was happening (due to problems with the insurance company.)
I highly recommend Shelby Byrd and Kayne Builders. Just be sure and listen when he tells you something will or won't work!
