"(removed member name), Through the warranty company, grids can only be replaced if the grid is torn. After disassembling your filter, our technician inspected all the grids and only replaced the ones that he found faulty. We operate under a contract with the warranty company and to replace items that are not broken would be a breach of our contract. When our technician left, your filter was fully operational at the correct PSI and with out any DE blowing back into the pool. Our technician left because he felt as though you were being confrontational and that his explanation of what was covered was not being received well. Unfortunately, the warranty's policies can reflect poorly on our technicians although it is not the technician's fault. We have left you voicemails to resolve this matter but have not heard back at this time."
Never heard back from pool company (Crappy customer service and very non responsive).
I contacted warranty company and appealed, requesting a second opinion. The new pool repair company realized that the pool heater was on a cement slab, that there were rain gutters and that there was also a rain guard on the pool heater.
They agreed to replace the heater
I just think this was really poor communication from Serene Pools, very sloppy, with lack of attention to detail. In my opinion, not an advocate for the customer.
"[Member Name Removed] American Home Shield originally determined that your heater was not covered due to rust. They make this determination through pictures and our technician's inspection. When a part is denied, the warranty company requests that they notify the customer of the denial and at that point, we can give a quote for replacement. I'm very sorry that you feel our customer service was not up to par. We take pride in excellent customer service. It is our policy to return all phone calls within 24 hours of receiving them or on the next business day if a call is received after 5pm on a Friday."

The technician showed up right on time and was very professional. He assessed the problem and described to me what was going wrong. He was able to fix it on the spot without having to go purchase additional parts. Overall, I am extremely happy with Serene Pools and highly recommend them.
