i have hired him to finish the remodeling so I think highly of his work. I had him out a couple of years ago to install a new front and back door and they both look beautiful and work very well. I think he is very professional, friendly and easy to work with. He knows his plumbing and carpentry very well.

RW Remodeling & Handyman Services did very good work. They were very reliable, very much on time, very professional, very meticulous in their work, and called if they were going to be delayed. The price was great. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

Reuel Whipple provided precise estimates up front for each job.  He and his co-worker were always punctual and were hard workers.  Yet they never rushed through a job.  Reuel is a home inspector as well and was able to give us advice about paints,  lighting, granite, flooring, electrical, etc.  He was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of remodeling and building.  We would highly recommend RW Remodeling & Handyman.  They did a great job for us!

Each phase of this project was carefully planned so that no rework was required. For example, painting was completed prior to Elfa shelving installation. RW Remodeling also worked around my schedule and consulted with me during each phase of the project so that my expectations were understood and met. In fact, I was so pleased with this experience that I have hired RW Remodeling for numerous other home improvement projects at my house since then... and three of my closest friends now use RW Remodeling as a result of my strong recommendation. RW Remodeling is one of the best in the business. I have become a life-long client and highly recommend them to others if you want your project done right the first time.

R.W. is very polite and professional. The quality of his work is relatively good. He was always happy to have jobs to perform inside during rainy weather. He was punctual and polite for most of the work. Later in the jobs he was called to perform two small handyman jobs. He made it clear that he could come that day due to the rain preventing him from performing an outside job he was working on. On his arrival I made it clear that if he needed any parts for either project that I was available to get them. I knew from past experience that R.W. charged his normal hourly fee for such errands. R.W. said that he needed a part for one of the projects and I told him again that I could go get it. He refused to allow me to go, stating that he was going to have to go to this store anyway, and it was not a problem for him to go. I reiterated that I was free to do errands and did not wish to pay extra for this type of errand. R.W. picked up the part during lunch while getting lunch as he was out. On return he quickly completed the small task, then left a bill charging us the total hourly rate for his professional work; for the entire time from start to completion of the tasks. When I contacted him to protest paying $150 per hour for him to drive and pick up parts when I had offered to do so myself, he stated that he needed to do this as I might have picked up the wrong part and it required a professional to do this. I stated that it was usual for him to charge us his full working fee for this, especially as I had made clear my objections beforehand. In the end, R.W. and his wife refunded a portion of the money for this errand time, but not all. We will not use this contractor again, as he had worked for us in the past, we had plans to use his services again, and we believe he exploited our relationship to make additional money via this hourly charge for errands we had clearly offered to perform ourselves.

"WE ALREADY REPLIED TO THIS ACCUSATORY REMARKS WHICH ARE CATEGORICALLY BASED ON UNTRUE FACTS. 1. THE AMOUNT IN QUESTION AND DEBATED IS NOT $ 5,000, BUT A SMALL PORTION OF $485.00 WHICH WAS CHARGED TO REPAIR AN EXPENSIVE LOCK AND RELEVEL A HEAVY FRONT DOOR, IN ADDITION TO DOIN ANOTHER SMALL BATH REPAIR. 2. THE JOB IN QUESTION IS A FRONT DOOR LOCK REPAIR JOB THE CLIENT APPROVED IN WRITING. 2. THE CLIENT DID APPROVE FOR US TO GO AND PURCHASE THE PARTS FOR THE FRONT DOOR LOCK AND OTHER ITEMS AFTER WE EXPLAINED TO HER OUR COMPANY RULES WHICH DO NOT ALLOW US TO SIT IN A CLIENT'S HOME AT NO CHARGE WHILE THE CLIENT GOES SHOPPING. 3. YES, WE CHARGE FOR "ERRANDS" WHEN THEY ARE RELATED TO LOOKING FOR AN UNUSUAL PART OF AN OLD EXPENSIVE LOCK NOT AVAILABLE AT REGULAR HARDWARE STORE. WE TOLD THE CLIENT THAT AND SHE COULD HAVE SENT US HOME IF SHE DID NOT LIKE THE TERMS. SHE TOLD US TO PROCEED. 4. NO, WE DON'T CHARGE $150.00 PER HOUR. THIS WOMAN IS LYING. THIS IS DEFAMATION. THE INVOICES THAT SHE SIGNED CLEARLY STATE OUR RATES VARY FROM $49.00 TO $69.00 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON THE WORK. 5. UNTIL THIS LAST SMALL JOB THIS WOMAN RATED IN WRITING OUR WORK AS BEING "GREAT" IN ALL RESPECTS. 6. SHE DID FIND OUR BILL EXCESSIVE AND WITHOUT ASKING ANY QUESTIONS WE ASKED IF $150.00 (OUT OF LESS THAN $500.00) WOULD SUFFICE. SHE AGREED. CASHED THE $150.00 NOW SHE IS CATEGORICALLY LYING. WHY? I DON'T KNOW. TINA MEAD, RW REMODELING"

I am not too happy with the people who put up my new fence. First of all, after they finished it rained for a while and because of this the wood swelled shut. I called them and they didn t seem to care much about fixing my problem. They finally fixed it, but it took them two weeks to do it. They also wanted to charge me extra for fixing it which really seemed unfair to me. In total I paid five hundred dollars but did not pay the extra money they were charging me and they fixed it anyway.

"THIS MEMBER MUST BE KIDDING! FIRST: WE DID NOT PUT A NEW FENCE IN. A NEW FENCE WOULD HAVE COST A LOT MORE THAN $500.00. YOU ARE WELCOME TO SEE OUR DETAILED INVOICE FOR THIS WORK. WE REBUILT A VERY OLD BACK-GATE AND REPLACED SLATS IN AN 8-FOOT SECTION. THERE WAS AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF CONCRETE THAT WE HAD TO DIG OUT AND SOME POSTS NEEDED REPLACING. THE HARDWARE WAS ALSO REPLACED. THIS MEMBER STATED THAT HE WAS VERY PLEASED WITH OUR WORK AND PAID US WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. A FEW WEEKS LATER THERE WERE HEAVY RAINS. THE GATE WAS VERY TIGHT AFTER A HEAVY RAINFALL BECAUSE THE WOOD HAD SWOLLEN. THIS IS UNUSUAL FOR MOST OF THE AGED WOOD THAT IS USED FOR FENCE MATERIAL. WHEN THE MEMBER CALLED TO HAVE THE GATE READJUSTED HE DID NOT TELL MY WIFE, WHO TOOK THE PHONE CALL, THAT THIS WAS WARRANTY WORK AND SHE GAVE HIM A PRICE FOR THE SERVICE CALL; HOWEVER, WHEN I REALIZED THAT THIS WAS THIS MEMBER AND IT WAS A WARRANTY CALL, I REASSURED HIM THAT THERE WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE FOR THE WARRANTY WORK, BUT BY THAT TIME HE WAS ANNOYED AND HE FELT I WAS TRYING TO RIP HIM OFF. AT NO TIME DID I INSIST THAT HE PAY ME A DIME FOR THE WARRANTY WORK. AS TO THE TWO-WEEKS WAITING TIME TO READJUST THE GATE: I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT AFTER A HEAVY RAIN IT IS BEST TO LET THE WOOD DRY-OUT BEFORE MAKING ANY ADJUSTMENTS. THE GATE CLOSED PROPERLY, IT WAS JUST TIGHT, AND THE TWO-WEEKS WAITING PERIOD DID NOT PRESENT ANY REAL BIG PROBLEMS AS TO THE GATE CLOSING AND OPENING. I FIXED THE GATE AT ABSOLUTELY NO EXTRA CHARGE, BUT AGAIN: THE MEMBER WAS ANNOYED THAT I WAITED TWO WEEKS TO FIX IT. I CANNOT HELP IT IF HE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THAT WOOD HAS TO DRY-OUT BEFORE A REPAIR CAN BE DONE PROPERLY. ALSO, I DO NOT BELIEVE A TWO-WEEKS WAITING PERIOD IS TERRIBLY UNREASONABLE. I HAVE TO SCHEDULE WARRANTY WORK AS ANY OTHER JOB AND IF MY SCHEDULE IS FULL THEN THERE MAY BE A SMALL WAITING PERIOD. BUT IN THIS CASE THIS WAS NOT EVEN AN ISSUE. I WAITED FOR THE WOOD TO DRY OUT, FIXED THE GATE, AND THE MEMBER THANKED ME PROFUSELY FOR A JOB WELL DONE. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND THIS MEMBER'S COMPLAINT."
